92 hatch build
Ok, my name is Evan right now i'm on my third 240. i had a 96 s14 zenki before that was all stock just coils wheels and exhaust plus a few other little things.this is how she sat before i traded.
i traded for a hatch with an sr20det in it. absolute worst decision i ever made... the sr had a slight tick which i found right after i traded and everyone including myself just thought it was the timing chain. took the guide off and tick went away. a week later threw a rod through the bottom end on the way to IA.. anyway i managed to trade the blown sr hatch for a 92 base model hatch. it was bone stock with 78k miles and 10k on the rebuild. dual cam ka with a mild build.when i traded i got to keep my coils. how she looked the day i got her had huge dents on each quarter panel. first thing i did was buy a welded diff. left it overnight due to fuel not getting to the engine at an autozone and came the next day to find this lol they really suck at breaking into a gutted 240 with nothing to steal... I don't really have any pics of it when i first got it but the paint was really faded on the f and r bumpers, hood, and trunk so i decided to rattle can it. ended up turning out decent. with me being 18 of course i went for a bright obnoxious "drift" color lol went to a drift event in cordele georgia that i've been to twice before but this was the first time my car was ok enough to slide i was at a buddy of mines shop and noticed some wheels sitting in the corner. come to find he was gonna scrap them so i asked if i could just take them. they were actually 14x6 work ewing iii's which i managed to sell for a decent price! with that money i bought two 17x10 xxr 526 my buddy had for cheap. i love the way they look i just couldn't afford two new one i sold them and bought some 16x10 diamond racing steelies went to pullapart the next day and ripped a lip off an old volvo for 10 bucks and it fit awesome! a few weeks later i found a deal on some side skirts and picked them up i really wasn't liking the way my car was starting to look so i sold the wheels and the side skirts and picked up some 17x9.75 xxr 527 in gold how they looked with just slip on spacers up front my eyes started hurting from looking at the blue so i decided to paint it black lol i used the paint roller method and it turned out really good actually first coat finished i got my rucas in the mail that day to and they are installed in the above pic. ordering my toe rods tonight and should be getting a lot more stuff soon! thanks for looking |
