Angled/Tilted/Pivoting front license plates

Are plates like this legal in California? Also, stupid question: does the plate always stay at this angle or does it pivot to become more horizontal when air hits it at speed?

The plate is fixed in that position. As for legality I believe it has to be clearly visible from a certain amount of distance. I’m sure the exact distance can be found online. Also, what rebuild said.

Are you fucking ten? You don't know how license plate brackets work?

Lemme help you out as my one good deed this year:
-Bolt the shit to your bumper
-Adjust the pivoting bracket that's bolted to the piece you just bolted to the bumper to desired angle.
-If you're not a pussy, don't have a disease where your vagina prolapsed or you're not a complete fucking idiot, this should stay in said position forever.

1. Is this legal in your state? Google it.
2. Does it fly around at high speed? Maybe you need to revert back to the part where when you tighten it, don't be a pussy.
3. What happens if my dad sees? He'll hit you.

never fails. So here's your real answer. No, it's not legal in California. Sorry.

California Code, Vehicle Code - VEH 5201

(a) License plates, including temporary license plates, shall at all times be securely fastened to the vehicle for which they are issued so as to prevent the plates from swinging, shall be mounted in a position so as to be clearly visible, and so that the characters are upright and display from left to right, and shall be maintained in a condition so as to be clearly legible.

That mount may not swing freely, but a cop won't care, and neither will a traffic court judge. Also, I don't know a cop who would say that's clearly legible at speed.

Do yourself a favor, and give cops as little reason to pull you over as possible. Driving a modified car already gets a lifted eyebrow, no need to add fuel to the fire.

Those mounts aren't really legal in Japan either. When you see guys (especially the osaka guys) bend up their license plates? That's so cops and speed cameras have a hard time reading them, very illegal.

Also, I recommend using ImgBB for image hosting, they even provide a code to automatically resize your photo

If you automatically assume everything is illegal in California, you'll probably be right most of the time.

Is the need to be a hypebeast that bad that you have to go to a forum known for harboring Backshlef. fugitives to ask about a fucking tilty plate...can you fathom the levels of desperation to dick ride Japan so violently?

"Hey guys, going into this cartel bar to ask if the modifications to their firearms are legal in my state. I'm sure they'll be very accommodating. brb."

GTFOH.

Honestly, I never really saw the point of ripping on someone for asking a question. If the thread is answered with a bunch of insults and other non related comments, then I view it as a waste of bandwidth, which isn't cheap for a site of this size, with the few premium members as we have nowadays helping to support it.

Google would have been a smarter play. Even using common sense would have worked for this example. Dude really made a whole ass thread about 2 pieces of bent aluminum bolted together. He even went through the trouble of finding and hosting an image and blew it up so it's impossible to view without getting angry.

+1 for the response lol.

...but if a view is a waste of bW making this thread for no reason is causing said views. This isn't specific to SChassis so OP didn't need to come here, make a thread to get the post count up, have us chastise, then disappear altogether. Google is a better option. Regardless of the responses, this is a trend with new users who simply want access to other parts of the forum after their post count is up.
