S13 Suspension Parts in an S30?
Complete S30 noob.
Been kicking around the idea of getting an early 70s S30. No smog I could finally put that SR I have to good use. Question is: can S13 suspension parts be swapped over? ie. subframe, coilovers, Z32 brakes, etc. Has it been done? Is it worth the hassle? Reason being is that I already have them laying around and if I could keep them it'd be cool. |

I have heard of people using the complete s13 subfame on s30s but it needs lots of fabbing i believe and in the end not really worth it so i heard. I was thinking about doing this also cause i have a complete s13 suspension.

my buddy has a 80' 280zx and as soon as i get my susp. in over at the shop and get it on the lift to take out my current susp. he's taking and test fabbing them on there. He's thinking about marketing a custom coilover kit stending from this

a few people have done it but its far from bolt on. here are a couple of examples:
its a skyline rear subframe but same difference right? RB Zed aka Gaijin - HybridZ this build is pretty sick. If i remember correctly he uses an s13 subframe. he has videos of the build and is a little more detailed 1971 Datsun 240z resto.project [vids/pics] - HybridZ hope that helps. -Jose |

cool, thanks
I went to see what I was told was "a driveable 240z in good shape" yesterday turned out to be a 260z with some rust and missing parts not a bad project but not something I'd want to do at this time too many projects as it is was a pretty good deal too, new L24 motor I was told |

Check out HybridZ in the suspension, brakes section it's one of the main topics and a member has actually done it and has a few pics of it installed. I plan on doing the same when I get the funds.
