EVENT POSTPONED

I have decided to postpone the event due to lack of drivers entered. As this was intended to be a community event, it doesn't make much sense to hold the event with very few drivers, and the decision to put on the event was made because I got an excellent response on the idea.

As it turns out, April is a bit too busy or perhaps bad timing for a lot of drifters! In keeping with the idea that this is an event FOR the drifters I'm going to postpone the event until a later date that will give drivers ample time to plan, and give me more time to search even more media and more sponsors for the event.

If this event is something that you really think you can attend and will attend in the future, please show your support and be ready to plan on attending!

REGISTERED DRIVERS--my deepest apologies that we couldn't make this happen, your support is and was integral to making this happen. Refunds have already been sent and I will notify you and keep you as top priority for the event when we find the right time for it. Your sacrifices to attend are greatly appreciated!

What is Drift Spirit?
Drift Spirit is an event with the goal of bringing the drivers and organizers that make up the events in the Southwest together for a friendly meet & greet + competition

Why Now?
With many emerging organizations and their loyal drivers, it's good to have an avenue for everyone in the drift community to mix and learn from each other; experienced and inexperienced, high and low power. The goal here is to have fun and learn from one another... look at it as more of an opportunity to have some fun with new and different drivers.

Where and Why There?
The event will be hosted at Orange Show Speedway, as the venue will allow your drivers, crew, and friends to better see the show, and will allow for a short drive for most of the socal crew. This is also caters to dynamic and exciting tandem that doesn't discriminate based on power as much as other courses can.

If you put on events in the region, please contact me! This event is intended to allow all organizations to take part in the event, so if you're a driver, contact your organizer. If you're an organizer shoot me an email and I'll give you my number so we can talk about involvement with this event.

Media & Winnings
I'll be working to get media to come out to this event to take pictures of you the drivers and sponsors to hop on for the competition. The sooner I get YOUR word that you'll be there, the more media & more prizes there will be. We will be looking at more than a first place in tandem (think best run with the wall, best low-power run, etc)--but this all depends on how soon and if we can get everyone in on it.
