~**Which cheap bucket seat**~
I already searched......
Ok so I am looking for a bucket seat for under $400. I am on the portly side (38ish waist) so i want one with a "wide" version so i dont squish my grapes into raisins. The two that I am looking at are: Corbeau FX1 Pro Wide Corbeau: FX1 Pro Buddy CLub Race Spec Bucket Buddy Club BC08-RSBKS-B Racing Spec Bucket Seat Black If anyone has any experience with either OR any other suggestions please shoot (and don't say "lose weight fatty" I'm working on that ) |

I'm a 30" waist, and the Buddy Club seat squeezes my kidneys...lol...
Have you tried the Buddy Club seat yet? I think it might be a tight squeeze for you...

i picked up some NRG type r seats.. they are nice for what you pay. had some rails on my old seats and they fit right on. black with red stitching and they recline. i'm only a 32" waist but i still have room. i almost splurged on some bride seats that were like 2k for the pair but couldnt do it.

Go for Sparco Evo 2 or 3. Evo is by far one of the more comfortable seats for bigger guys. Hands down. Corbeau sucks and so does NRG shit. Been through like 5 or 6 seats already and settled with a Pro2K.

i have a sparco evo and my friend has the fx1-pro. they are very similar in support, i'm 5'10" 34-36 waist and 190 lbs, i fit fine in them. they feel like they have the same shell. i also have experience in the bride zeta and the corbeau and sparco evo fits me better.

You people ought to take some measurements of yourselves, and compare it to the seats' size charts... at least that will give you a ball park figure of whether or not you will at least fit in the seat, or if you'll get stuck in it and have to call the fire department to come free your ass, no pun intended.

^ seriously, figure out what seat will fit you.
Best option is to go around and try out different seats. I recently got the chance to sit in a race spec miata with the sparco evo 2 seats. if i get buckets... now i know what i'm getting! They are absolutely amazing seats. 6'2" 195lbs. Fit's me awesome. |
