Wheel Pic Request
I was wondering what a high offset like a +40 would look on a 240. I know it won't look that great ... but I have never seen what it actually looks like. People say it looks bad - but what the hell does it look like? I must know.

a few things:
position of wheel to fender depends on wheel width AND offset secondly, real sports cars do have cupholders third, tyler durden said losing all hope is freedom... not fight club. theres a difference. |

Aight, the reason I am asking is because one of my Honda friends showed me some Rota Grids and Slipstreams and they look pretty nice ... 16"x6.5" (something like that, I forget) and apparently Rota makes them in the Nissan 4 lug pattern - but they are somewhat hard to come by. So I figured if I could find a set of used wheels going cheap on eBay or something like that, I might pick those up ... what I really want to do is get some 91-94 SE wheels, but they are looking to be hard to come by.

my 17x9 are almost 40 offset... they are +38, with a 255 tire it doesn't look too bad...
it just looks a lot better now with a +25mm spacer =) yeah, don't buy honda rims unless you know what you're getting yourself into... sunken battleship, not cool, especially for the money you can possibly get some old school dori rims if you look hard enough

it looks wack and you'll get flamed, thats pretty much the common response as for pictures, i cant help you out there but just picture wheels that dont come close to the edge of the fender, they will look like that.

i remember on Drift Tengoku vol 6. Tanaguchi was running 17x8 +22 fronts 17x10 +45 rears with i think appears to be a 10mm spacer and it sits quite nicely on his S15. but don't forget that S15 rear track width is 10mm wider then s13 IIRC. the high offset seems funky until you get such a wide wheel. 7.5inches and smaller, get the low offset, 8inches and wider 15-20offset will be the lowest you should go unless you don't mind rolling and pulling fenders to make it fit.

Guess I'll be sticking with the stock wheel size of a 91-94 SE ... doesn't matter - those wheels look hawt.
