Open your hood, push it all the way up till it wont open any more, then look to see whats stopping it, Cut off stopper Piece

if you cut just enough you can get it to stop at 90° like i did

i did eventually weld a stopper on the back of the hinge...just havent had time to take pictures

I put custom hood dampers. Measured, calculated geometry and welded. so they come up no further than 90 but only come down when i pull it down...unless storm winds blow xD in that case i wouldnt work under hood.

btw to OP --- make sure you add MOD to googling vertical hood -_-

You can get the same effect this way...

1) Pop your hood open.
2) Go back into the house and get a drink.
3) Forget you popped the hood open.
4) Drive around town.
5) Get on the freeway.
6) Get up to the speed limit.
7) BLAM...vertical hood mod!!!
