I'm not sure you know what back pressure is.

You should probably plug that hole back up to help lower the back pressure. Maxima cat will only fit if you install it backwards.

I know i sounded like an idiot but thats okay. Turns out i am running on 2 cylinders Now although i do need a new cat soon i did some thoublehooting today with my old man. Back in october the car always had a slight misfire, it would go on and off from time to time we could never figure out the problem and there was a vacum leak too. I got new plugs, new cap n rotors, changed the oil and then i drove it for a few months back and fourth to work. It started running on 2 cylinders randomly the other day. My dad thought after pulling the caps while it was running that there was one or two bad injectors. So today i swapped the injector i thought was bad with one that was good. The bad one now works so now i know the injectors are good. The plugs are firing. Im thinking it could be somethng with the computer, random sensor, distributer or a bad ground that cousing it to misfire wtf this is so aggravating

lol, this is aggravating? you have no clue wtf you are doing, let a shop fix it or sell it to someone who will fix right. Some people are meant to drive a Prius
or Civic...

get under the maxima and see what the flanges look like. youll be able to tell immediately if it will fit. I used a cat from a newer altima on my s14. fit like a glove.
this thread is pointless. get under the car you lazy fuck.

Havent really messed with much and now its running on 1 cylinder. The rest of the 3 are dry so my pops is thinking its a fuel mangement issue like the fuel pressure regulator acting up mayby letting just enough gas in to fire cylinder one. My buddy and my brother is thinking the dizzy or the ignition coil cuzz becuase there saying im getting poor spark. My dads gonna tow it to work at shell and have some of them look it tomorro. Im gonna by the parts most likely friday. Ill report back.

Im gonna get a new cat too

The car need to just last another 8 weeks. Then i could walk to work. i gotta down the car to replace all the subframe bushing, fix rust, add coilover and a lsd
