I just have an old 37" 1080P Vizio.
I bought it six years ago for $200 or so, it was a demo unit before I bought it and yet it still works PERFECTLY. IDK how that is even possible. (Only picture I had of my jank setup) |

If anyone needs 4k TV's or 4k Upscaler's let me know i run a home audio video store in Lake Havasu and we drop ship direct from our distributors.
There are also differences in tv's and where you buy them A grade and B grade tv's. Also just a heads up id stay away from the 2017 8000 and 9000 Samsung they are having massive issues. Thats coming from a s Samsung dealer and certified Samsung repair tech.

black lines in the screens or loss of Mac ID some other issues that require Samsung to send a replacement tv for. I have a 65'' 9000 in my office that i sold a customer 40 days ago that im fighting Samsung on to fix or replace. Has a 5'' black like going down the screen. Had a dozen or so with issues this year so far.

not the best or most expensive set up. but it does the job and I take price in hiding as many wires as possible! Samsung 65 inch 8 Series with Samsung Series 5 sound bar. Pictures taken with my cell phone in not the best lighting but you get the point

Taking a picture at night with a cell phone doesn't do it justice.
I'd want a real sound system cause thieving room with the sound bar doesn't fill up the room enough |

But what's the cost? I bought one of the higher end Samsung sound bars this time (three times the price then my original Samsung sound bar) and still meh
I'd like wireless if that is possible and still have good sound. But I hear no sound system is good unless it's over 1k. Idk how I feel about spending that much right now lol |

I would never recommend a Samsung sound bar they just dont have the sound quality for the money and i have one on my floor for display. I like the Definitive W Studio or the W Studio Micro also had alot of good feedback on the Bose Sound Touch 300 with the wireless rear speakers.

Cost my friend. Talk nunbers to me
I like Samsung things as we can see. I also like how my TV talks to me phone and sound bar so easy. It auto turns on with the TV and auto turns off. I can adjust the volume with my one cable remote with is a huge plus |

New house, so replaced my 50" Pioneer Kuro 111FD with a 75" Sony 850D. Still getting used to the LCD panel, the edge lit lcd has some flaws, but it's just the living room tv. I will say the lcd does better in a bright room vs the plasma.
pita running the speaker wire from the AVR to the rear of the room through the basement. Happy enough with the results. Purchased a Roku Premiere + to get Netflix in 4k+HDR, but there was crazy audio delay through the AVR, I adjusted about 100ms. And having to switch the tv's color gamut setting back and forth to deal with HDR vs standard cable box tv wasn't worth the hassle. Returned the Roku, streaming 4k Netflix through the tv and ARC'ing audio to the receiver now. I don't think the Netflix app in the tv does HDR. And holy shovelware installed on the Sony Android tv, had to disable so much stuff to clean up the app screen.

Are you using 4k HDMI cables and feeding audio from the tv back to the AV Receiver via Toslink? I try to stay away from the Roku as much as possible haven't had good luck with them lasting long. When I do an install and the customer wants 4K streaming I supply a 4K BluRey player. Streaming through the Tv will decrease the Tv's life dramatically. For those that use Apple Tv's they will be releasing a new model here in a month or so that will support ful 4k.
