This is the CARB documentation for the EROD crate engine.
https://ww3.arb.ca.gov/msprog/afterm...o/d-126-30.pdf This is the CARB EO sticker that comes with the engine Of course, you can also find a used LS motor and all the necessary smog equipment and get it approved as well, but the EROD makes it easier, but definitely at a higher price.

Just a little update on how the exhaust system is coming together.

A little more progress on the exhaust system. Slowly but surely getting there.
A view from the rear. I wanted a subtle two tip exhaust somewhat similar to stock, but a little different. I now need to get rid of the shell. exhaust2 by gnakata2007, on Flickr exhaust4 by gnakata2007, on Flickr exhaust3 by gnakata2007, on Flickr

Man it's been a long time since an update. Life with a 3 year old takes a toll on you and now with COVID19 things just are barely moving along. Engine is wired up and running. Need to drop the ride height a bit and get it aligned. AC is all hooked up and needs a charge. At least we can drive it in and out of my friend's shop now.
Here are some pics of it with 8 years worth of dirt and dust on it. My BNIB bricks are at home waiting for installation. Went with a vented CF hood to get some heat out of the engine bay and compensate for some of the extra weight of the LS3. Hood is going to be painted to match the rest of the car. I am debating on whether to cover up the NACA duct. Also have wider vented front fenders as I really want to run wider tires up front. When your build gets drawn out for so long like this, the parts that I bought 8 years ago now are dated and newer better parts are available. I have a brand new Tremec Magnum 6 speed trans with a Sikky relocation shifter, but now Tremec just released a newer Magnum 6 speed that doesn't require a relocation shifter. I've seen the review on MotoIQ about this new trans and it is so tempting. It just so happens that my throwout bearing crapped out so I have to pull the tranny anyways. Oh man..............

oh i'm liking this.
whats the paint code on the coupe? looks very similar to KG1. my paint has been faded since before i bought mine in 2014 and i've only seen one other car with nice condition paint in that color. anyways, i digress. beautiful car, excellent build. |

Thanks. It is actually a Audi silver - LY7W. When I built the car, my daily was an 2001 Audi S4, which I absolutely loved the silver color.
