K&N Intake Smog Legal S14

I have a K&N intake on my car. I bought the car with this mod installed. I'm not exactly sure what model intake it is, but it looks like a Typhoon. The previous owner won't get back to me on if it is CARB legal or what type of intake it even is. I was wondering if any intake from K&N are CARB legal for 1995-1998 240sx's? I'm sure the car will pass smog as I only have the intake and Magnaflow muffler installed, but smog places won't smog it because it doesn't have a sticker.

try going to the K&N website. I heard they have answers to your question there.

69-7076TS - K&N 69 Series Typhoon Kits, Performance Intake Kit

in short. Typhoon model is NOT CARB legal.

Yeah, that's pretty lame. I'm sure it'll pass smog even if it's not CARB legal.

Even though it would pass smog, it wouldnt pass visual. Most smog shops wont let it slide unless you have the Exemption plaque on it.
