So I was driving down the road.  It was raining.  I have the Injen CAE system.  And a car with 77k miles and a shlushbox.
I pressed the gas pedal, and downshifted, and accelerated.
Then.  Sputtering.  Like the outta fuel sputter, but I have plenty of fuel.  Not loosing traction, cuz i was goin 50 in 3rd.
So I parked my car for 3 hours.  Then got back in it, and it was sprinkling.  More sputters.  WTF?!?!

My guess (and hope) is that the filter was damp and not letting air go throught it.
So.  What do you guys think?
Thanks,
-Jeff

my fuel filter is only like 4 months old, and from a 300zx.  I dont think that would be a problem...
Do you know why yours runs sluggish in the rain?

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Does it idle rough?  Have you driven it in the rain before this w/ your CAI?  It could be possibly moisture getting into your plugs or wires.  Or possibly moisture in the gas you got--how long before this incident did you get gas?  I'm not sure what's up, I'm just throwing some ideas out.  Good luck!
