Finally!!
Alright guys, I've been a member here a few years ago but couldn't remember anything about my login haha... but happy to be back and even more happy to say that I am finally starting back on Kristine, thanks to finding an amazing woman that allows and WANTS me to get her going!
She's a 89 hatch and will be getting a complete rebuild from the steering rack to the tow hook on the back with an S15 front conversion, and supercharged lsx, built for circuit, drag, and eventually show. That being said, I'm most likely going to go the route of picking up a complete front clip to ensure that EVERYTHING is going to be there when it comes time to do the conversion on her, and I've been out of the import game for a while... so I'm a little rusty and have a couple of questions on that part: 1) What is the going for sale rate on the S15 Sr20 complete with 6spd trans, ecu, and harness? 2) Are there still people doing RHD conversions? Buying the front clip would, in turn, also give me everything someone would need to convert their s13 to RHD... and if so, what's the value on that as well?? Thanks in advance for any insight and comments! |

touche... hell.. i'll give you the whole front clip minus everything I needed to do the conversion if you want it.
I'm starting to think that going the front clip route is actually going to be more of a PITA than just sourcing the parts individually. The supports and everything are basically going to be trash to me anyways seeing as im going to be making my own with the ls powerplant (and just in case you're wondering why.. I cut my factory rad support completely off for basically no reason except ease of test-fitting motors haha) Was just thinking that if i were to spend 5k on a front clip, then i could sell the drivetrain and the rest of it so someone can have a rhd conversion and make my money back, essentially getting my conversion for free haha. |

That sounds good, pm me so when the time comes we can set things up. I.e pricing and what I want/need.
The thing is, I see a lot of people do this. Some make half to most of their money back, some break even, some make profit. It's just on who's buying at the time, what they want, and how much they're willing to pay and how much you're willing to sell for. I think buying the clip is a good idea, if you're willing to do the leg work and search for people sourcing parts. You could cut the cost of your build by half. But you'll have to be proactive about it, you know? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

Yeah, I have no problem putting some work into getting everything i have sold... hell.. I already do that on a daily basis with our business haha. Currently trying to get Enjuku to put our products up on their LSx swap section!
I can't PM yet, but my first goal is to rebuild the steering/suspension parts and get her as a roller. We keep a big variation of the LS blocks in stock... so once that's done, it'll be fairly quick work getting a drivetrain in. That being said, it will probably be around May when i start looking to get a clip. |

Sounds good, I'll book mark this thread, and check in routinely for updates. Maybe we could go halfs on it. Mostly interested in drivetrain and supporting components.

I've got a 2008 crew cab silverado, been talking about building a turbo 4.8 for it and using it to play like that.. but there's nowhere around here that holds events and getting somewhere that does is like a 5-6 hour trip no matter what direction i go. |
