SR20 Timing chain install issue
Im replacing my timing chain and I have the the #1 on TDC. The exhaust cam is at 12 o'clock and the intake cam is at roughly 10 o'clock. my question is has anyone ever turned the cams with the hexagon because my intake cam seems just a hair off and wont line up.

Yeah that's what that part of the camshaft is for. Turning the cams or holding them to torque the cam gear bolts. You aren't supposed to use the chain resistance to torque them. Just be careful as always.
