95' S14 Passenger window won't go up
Firstly, I have searched.
Passenger window goes down but not up. It goes down using the passenger door switch but not the driver door switch, and won't go up using either switch. I'm pretty sure the problem is one of the switches but I don't know how to narrow it down. If the problem is one of the switches, how would I repair the switch? I am able to apply power directly to the motor to put it up, so the motor is fine. The problem is not the window amp solders, I've checked, they only control the driver window anyway. Thanks in advance. |

Sounds like your driver side switch is bad being that it doesnt work either way.
Im sure you can find one on ebay fairly easily. Grab your test light and check each switch for power when pressing to go up to verify you have current when the switch is triggered. Sounds like maybe the driver side contact may be stuck or broken in the perfect way where its not quite supplying current to the window down position, but registering the window is going down, thus not letting you go up with either switch. Hope that makes sense. You could also try unplugging the driver side switch and then seeing if your passenger switch works. And then vise versa. |
