Installed an ABS LSD

Just thought id post..

Gives you guys a little project idea for the future if you dont already have a VLSD or better.

Went to local wreckers, they pulled an ABS rear diff and drive shaft for $300Can. roughly $225US...

I cracked it open, cleaned it, bolted the cover back on, filled it with some 75W90 sythetic. Cleaned and painted the outside with a high temp black paint and re-installed it.

Pretty cool mod for only $225-250... Up here in vancouver import parts are inflated so you should be able to find diffs locally for cheaper.

I wont be able to try it out til i get my motor in, but from what i've heard is pretty awesome.

Here are some pics.

You can see the difference between the ALB driveshaft and regular driveshaft in the last pic. The ALB diff's driveshaft is about 3/4" shorter.
