RB20 leaking coolant from transmission

Hey guys I have an s14 with an rb20. I got stuck in traffic the other day and it overheated. I let it cool down and went to fill it with coolant and it sprung a leak toward the back of the motor where it meets the transmission. It will run ad start with no white smoke, and my oil doesn't have any coolant in it so I don't think it's a head gasket. I did some research and I think it might be my freeze plug on the back of the block. Is there anyway to check that without pulling the motor?
