Really nice work with ensuring reliabilty above anything else in this build.
I am curious, since you went the lengths of doing a full bottom build, why not up the displacement even further? Possibly a custom rod/piston setup? I typically can see rude comments over cosmetic appeal of a car but to criticize the motor setup etc? I'm probably the biggest motor swap outlaw on zilvia, and I didn't get one rude remark? I think its just insecurity when people make comments such as the ones posted on here. The coolest things on their cars are the rubber nuts hanging from the tow hook. Very impressed with your attention to the key points. Glad to see the Midwest turning out cars like this:-) (originally from Indiana)

As for the build of the cars body......I wanted something that was different and stands out. Ive been building nissans since 1998 and they are all starting to look the same, and even all going the same engine route. its going to turn into civic realm. it may not be everyone tastes, BUT......Its just a mean fast functional car. and thats the point of it. just to have fun on the track and on road trips. Thanks again for your nice comments. final dyno numbers will be up in spring as the snow has already fallen here

Christ man, don't talk about snow... it gets me depressed. We had the slightest bit of flurries here a couple days ago. I look forward to seeing the paint... paint work always gets me excited.

I realize the overbore issues but I was curious along the lines of a longer stroke, shorter rod?
The set up in my car is long stroke with a short rod. My rod/stroke ratio isn't ideal st all(1.44:1) but it nets a 2.4 over a 2.0. . And I agree about it falling into that realm. People are just trying to revive it by throwing v8s in it. A wee bit of irony as I know a good portion of import owners are domestic haters lol That blows about winter. I never owned a car like this when I lived there so i definatley get spoiled by rocking a vert in December lol. Great work none the less

Your level of engine bay is down right crazy, as for the new paint.......90% sure is going to be the darker flat black. but maybe something metallic black.

I like everything about this car besides the hideous rear overs. Your body guy couldn't do anything to make those blend in a bit more before you dived in and had them molded?
