Cruising RPM a little higher then normal?

I am wondering if something is wrong with my tach or somewhere in the driveline. I drive a 92 240sx 5 speed completely stock as far as ik. Im cruising down the freeway at 3500 rpms( speedo doesnt work) and feels like im going really slow in relation to traffic. If i want to keep up with anyone i have to be at 4k RPM. Ik this isnt normal. So whats an average rpm i should be at when traveling about 75-80 mph.
