They were custom made, and fortunately they worked out for me to get them!

Rene has a few more colours coming in shortly but can, right now, basically do most common colours, including wrinkle. Give him a shout.

Extended (25mm), boxed and gusseted my lower control arms the other night.
My first attempt at TIG welding...I've got a lot to learn still but I enjoy learning. Rene checked it over to make sure it was good. Ugly welds, but good. I've also modified my knuckles, just waiting for him to weld them together. That's something I won't attempt any time soon - welding cast iron.

Finished my knuckles tonight. After cutting and tacking them up I had Rene weld in some lower re-enforcement plates and go to town on the heat.
I'll powder coat them later this week, along with a bunch of my misc. engine brackets and what not.

Knuckles look good! Your turn in is going to be very quick, haha. The factory knuckles are forged steel btw...

It's been a stupid long time since I updated this, beginning of last spring basically.
I'll see if I can throw an update on later tonight. For now, I'll just leave this here.

So this summer has been more focus on work and stuff than my car. I still put some effort into it, but it wasn't until the past couple months did I really hit it hard.
Long story short, finished off the parts buying, put the motor back together and into the car, finished off my wiring, had my manifold and stuff made, went to the dyno and made a whopping 200hp (197 to be exact). The power was just dropping off the charts as soon as it got close, no matter how much boost was added. We started to mess around and try to solve it quickly - added timing, took out timing, nothing changed. At first I thought it may be the CAS or cam timing, so I took it back to my shop and assed everything. Made sure all was where it needed to be and went back to the dyno. Nothing changed and was running into the same problems. I did a compression test and had 200psi on all cylinders except #2. I knew i hadn't fried a ring or piston so I did a leakdown test. My intake valves weren't seating on that cylinder so I knew where my issue had lay. Got back to my shop and over the week took apart the head and tried re-lapping the valves. Unfortunately that didn't work and sadly the head needed to come off again. I sent it out to a local engine builder on Monday and he knows what's up. He should be done next week at some point hopefully with good news. And now, a huge pic dump lol

Haha no no, waiting on voodoos to show up. I put on some shitty stock ones we had laying around the shop so it was easily movable.

I have some adjusting to do to my control arms now but with those tie rods you suggested and the adjustment everything seems to be working awesome!

Got my head back from the builder the other day. I've been swamped with work and finalizing papers on a new truck. It was time I upgraded from my little old silverado as it hit 400,000 the other day.
Haven't had a chance to button it back up onto the motor but I picked up an intake manifold also for a steal so I couldn't turn it down. The head got hot tanked, valve job, trimmed valve stems and decked head. And the new hwhip that I pick up tomorrow night. Excited to have a new vehicle finally!

Driving a new vehicle is so damn satisfying. I feel like my life has substantially been upgraded.
I'll probably sell the wheels off after the winter and get something a little more to my liking. Going to do the N-Fab bumper as well, and paint all the chrome black. As well as throw a 2.5" levelling kit upfront to help the rake.

I put the head on today and started throwing everything back together...only downside is I forgot to take a picture lol.
Trying to go for a dyno pull this coming week before the snow settles in. Hoping for good luck here! So to keep this post semi-relevant heres a shot of when I first picked up the car from the importers in March of 2009.

Got 95% of everything buttoned up this weekend. I'm sick as a dog right now and even getting this far was hard unfortunately.
A lot of this will change over winter as it's essentially to just get it to the dyno again and make some numbers. For example the FPR line that goes over the intake. I have to modify my current intake pipe to intercooler for the new manifold, put my downpipe and exhaust on then tow it to my tuners this week...*hopefully*

So last week I got a really good deal on some Delphi/PTE 1000cc injectors. I was kind of looking but not really as essentially it was the only thing holding my motor back.
I had 740s recently and I didn't want to risk having them at full duty cycle, and I personally like the look of top feed injectors regardless. I find they look cleaner with a new fuel rail etc. I'm still going to make AN fuel lines and everything but for now I'll just keep the barb fitting until after I get it dynod next week. I had to HUNT down a 14mm fuel rail which is harder then it sounds also, ended up with everything working out perfectly though thanks to a few members on here. I definitely need to powder coat this intake manifold though, it looks horrid. All that's left is to run the fuel lines to a tomei FPR, bolt up my downpipe and see what it puts down on the dyno sometime next week...hopefully lol

So last night went relatively well. A whole bunch of friends came by to hang out and drink, including an old friend of mine, Dan. He used to run a dyno company and later sold it a couple years ago to pursue some other things in life. He probably was, and still is, the best tuner in Canada.
He has my SR running/idling perfect now, even with all the newer "go-fast" parts I put on since the last dyno pull. Considering what's in it it runs like a stock SR...it's amazing. I'm setting up the dyno appointment for sometime this coming week, hopefully when the weather is good at least. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10204294833405014

Sooooo, dyno tomorrow and my car is running amazing.
Did a mild burnout, didn't even touch 4000 RPM....it's crazy responsive right now.
