Hey, boys and girls! I'm looking at buying a 98 s14 5-speed. It is the base model, but has power locks, windows, and moonroof, spoiler, factory alloys, fogs, a/c, tilt, cruise, and it has 72,000 miles on it. Also, he just put a new set of tires on it. The guy at the car lot is asking $9,900. I ran the stats through the kelly blue book website, and it seems to be a very reasonable price. (And I think I might be able to talk him down to about $9k) I'm driving 2 hours down to Lexington, KY tommarrow morning to test drive it and have it checked out at a Nissan dealership.

Basically, what I need to know is what you guys (and girls) think about the price.

And more importantly, are there any things I should look out for, or pay special attention to when inspecting the car?

Thanks in advance everybody. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

to be honest, I'm never really good at telling people what to look for when buying a car, and/or telling them to or not to, but that sounds like a helluva deal man. &nbsp;only downside is that it has 72k on it already, and its' only a 98. &nbsp;that's around 24k a year. &nbsp;but still, it sounds nice to me. &nbsp;good deal I suppose. &nbsp;get others opinions too.

I payed $10,200 for my 96 se with 43,000miles. &nbsp; So yours sounds like a pretty good deal to me, especially if you can get him down to 9k.

DSC, 43k and 72k, are a BIG difference, i honestly wouldnt pay more than 6k for it, since it is semi-new
that amount of mileage on it , being only 3 years old...
hmmmh makes you think where it has been...
find a better deal i say... and that kelly book is shit, it tells me that my truck is worth 4k the way it is right now, annd you know what i couldnt get 2500.00 for it, so ditch the book (although i do have close to 9,500.00$ in it, but still)...

NISSAN POWER!!!!!!!

Really, since 2002 are already out, technically the car is 4 years old. &nbsp;I'm sure it was out on a dealer lot, or even in someone's driveway by this time in 97.
