Taking it back a few years, RB20 rich idle, lean under load, not driveable.
A few pictures and a little bit about me and the car. I've never engaged in any discussion on zilvia, mainly use it for parts and bartering.
Put the motor in 2 years ago. had timing problems, bent valves, had bad coil packs, bad injectors, spent forever hunting CAS and alternator and other misc parts, such as downpipe work, oil feed lines and fittings, etc etc. Was working 80 hours a week so put the car up for about a year. Got a new job and decided to dig it back out. Alright, rb20 is in, got it idling on its own finally. It will only idle by adjusting the tps. Tps is set at .29 currently to get the car to idle at 680-700rpm. IACV does absolutely nothing. N60 maf. have two mafs, runs the same on both maf's and with it unplugged. Can't physically hear any vacuum/boost leaks. havent pressurized the system yet. (can someone give me a step-by-step) Fuel pressure is at 40-41 psi idling. 43-44 with no vacuum line. stock injectors. someone else set the timing for me and it is set at spec, no funny things. stock edu, cant get it to connect to consult, havent dug too deep into it yet. It idles rich enough to burn my eyes out. Pegs my aem wideband. You can bring rpm up to redline before it goes past stoich. Any sort of hard rev/throttle blip and it goes lean (13.5:1-16:1+ depending on rpm) My ideas so far are 1. Injector problems 2. Boost leak/vacuum leak 3. TPS fault possibly 4. IACV clogged 5. Shouldve just bought an sr.. |
