It takes years of playoff battles to develop a team/organization, I think GSW has grown from that and Curry being healthy now at the right age. I'm enjoying watching it.

I blame ownership under Chris Cohan for the last 15 years. I have to agree with this:

"In May 2009, an unnamed editorial writer in Sports Illustrated listed the top ten best and worst owners of basketball teams in his opinion, ranking Cohan as 4th worst. He pointed out that Golden State was repeatedly rebuilding without much success."

New ownership under Peter Guber and Joe Lacob has been great. I didn't expect all of this development/chemistry to happen so quickly and occur this season. Even going into this season, i expected GSW to be somewhere between #6-8 ranked team, not #1 right now...

who knows.. it might be a fluke and GSW might fall back to earth soon, but I'm thinking they will still stay in the top 5...

From Chris Broussard of ESPN.com:

Anthony, according to sources, then used another expletive in telling Hardaway he was going to beat him up when they got into the locker room after the game. …

“Nobody’s taken a swing at anybody, but there’s a lot of arguing and cursing each other out after games,” one source said. …

Several Knicks, in addition to Hardaway, are at odds with Anthony and believe he’s not playing team basketball. Sources said players voiced their displeasure with Anthony this past weekend, telling him he shoots too much, doesn’t move or pass the ball, and only plays defense when he feels like it. …

“Guys are definitely frustrated,” one source said. “But some of it’s just basketball stuff that the players don’t like doing. When somebody’s
demanding that you make a hard cut, you don’t like it because you have to work harder. When someone says it’s not okay to throw a bull—- pass, guys don’t like it.”
Knicks imploding? Carmelo Anthony selfish and lazy on defense you say!? why am i not surprised?

i remember curry just chucking up random terrible shots last year in the playoffs, but now he's a completely different player. plays for his shots are much better planned out.

Bulls dodge a huge God damn bullet on that one.

Could you imagine if they traded Taj and Butler, and picked up Melo instead of Gasol?

Talk about a pile of shit that would be!!

Ownership better be willing to payout next summer for Butler. He keeps this up he will be the future of this team.

By '16 Dunleavy, Noah, Gasol, Kirk and Rose will all be up.

you're wrong on that. bulls with melo would have been a better fit. would have been the east/west top team and easy title contender. knicks is another story.

lil timmy jr. himself voids any argument about melo's lazy defense. he's the ultimate matador and probably one of the worst rebounding guard. he's too inconsistent as a scorer. right now, knicks just don't have anything to run the triangle except melo. knicks were missing its key player from the start of the season. just wait for next year.

I saw that. He has some valid points about the Nicks players not putting up the effort and working together. They are bucking at the changes.

Rodman goes on to explain that the problem is that the players are not really running the offense.

The key to the triangle offense is ball movement, player movement, and good spacing. Things are always in motion which creates lots of scoring opportunities for everybody.

But according to Rodman, when the ball gets back to Carmelo Anthony, "everything stops" and that it seems like "nobody wants to play together with Carmelo" the way teammates of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant did with those superstars.

Ultimately, like any great system, it is only great if those in it are committed. Right now, it sounds like the Knicks aren't committed.
He is not as dumb as he looks... Even he can figure out that Carmelo Anthony is a black hole... Everything stops with Melo, that is the problem. He has to learn how to pass.

It's not really a lack of effort, its a lack of star talent, coaching experience and continuity due to injuries.

That said, if the Knicks want a change I think they have trade pieces that would work effectively in other teams. I'd take any of Dalembert, Larkin, Hardaway or Bargiani depending on health.
