Through negotiations today, Drift Circuit has obtained permits for three events at Qualcomm stadium. The first date for Drift Circuit 2 is tentatively scheduled for the end of January or the beginning of February. We will update the front page news with the exact date ASAP. Registration is open once again for DC # 2.

To prepare for DC 2 we are securing a new insurance policy for five times the amount of Drift Circuit 1.

We are also going to outfit the light poles with special barriers to meet the strict safety standards at the Q.

The new safety standards call for sand filled 55 gal containers around each light pole within our courses.

Volunteers are needed for the preparation and installation of the new barriers. As well as course workers on the day of the event. Volunteer at [email protected]

Drift Circuit 3 is set for March 4th in the South East quadrant of Qualcomm's lot.

Drift Circuit 4 is set for April 15th in the South East quadrant of Qualcomm's lot.

We are accepting course designs at [email protected] from those who wish to submit creative, challenging and fun ideas.

Update

Time and date is now confirmed for previously tentative Drift Circuit 2.

Event will be held from 3PM-11PM 2-17-06 Qualcomm Stadium, South East Lot.

Last day for Drift Circuit to process RSVP pricing for only $100 is this FRIDAY 2-10-06
Drivers payments processed from 2-11-06 to 2-17-06 will be $150
All spectators, friends and family are $10 ea. Everyone signs waivers, no exceptions.

E-mails with further details will be sent shortly to all Drift Circuit registrants.

well if it's anyhting like the meets, only 1/2 the people will show up and the LA crew will complain about how far away it is

but sounds good.

The last event had people of all skill levels. 4 run groups, one group is on rest the other three are on a designated course. Just like driftday. Last time was full, but you got ample drive time. The tracks are big enough that by the time you finish, you only really have to wait maybe 3-4 cars to go.

Anyone have an idea of when it will be? I'm hoping it doesn't conflict with DD31. I'd like to go to both.

It might be on the 28th of this month, or the 4th of next month. I dont think they would plan it on the same day as dd31 though.

Im still confused as to why the most recent date hasnt been set but the later dates are. I want to come and check it out but any idea on the date of the feb event.

I talked to Dan yesterday, Qualcomm hasn't given him a date for this next event. He's just waiting to hear back from them. They hate us so it's no surprise they're jerking us around.

Yeah I heared that I was surprised they were back because I thought qualcomm wouldnt let them run?

Qualcomm wont let us run during the Chargers' season. Even during weekends when absolutely nothing is going on...
