s13 Ka24e cold start problem. HELP!

alright. so i have a 1990 s13. bone stock engine. only thing is i have a egr delete.

when the weather gets colder, prolly around 35-45 degrees when i start it, it will start up and begin shaking and bogging, sometimes it almost dies, once the temp needles starts to move up the shaking stops and it runs perfectly.

also: when the weather is warm, it starts perfect with no bogging or shaking at all.

any ideas of what it could be guys?

coolant temp sensor

i put a new coolant temp sensor in and it seems like it helped stabilize the idle at startup...car starts at 1600rpm then drops slowly to 1000 then settles at 800rpm now. Before at startup car would start at 1600rpm then drop sharply and bounce to 300-500rpm and shake the car like its gonna die, only on cold starts.

note: old coolant temp sensor which was probably the original, was very dirty and had a layer of gunk around whole sensor, maybe you can trying cleaning yours if you cant buy a new one.
