MTV Pimped my ride!
Project Challenge Spirit got some new threads today.
A trip to Jo-ann's fabric store yielded a nice find. Faux white tiger fur. 2 hours of spare time and a sewing kit yielded... well see for yourself. The glove box isn't pictured here. Sorry.

Apparently there are only two people on this thread that like that!!
My whole room is done up in leapard print, with a poser of a leapard (and a JIC exhaust project poser, with an S13,heh but anyway) I wouldn't mind doing my S13 like that but how did you sew it so good? Any special technique or whatever.. |

Eh,
Get the glove box and top of the center console lid thing... unscrew them and they have two pieces. Take the crappy tweed off the glove box... Go get some stuff called "sprayment" I think 3m makes it. It comes in a spray can. Get some fabric and cut it out to shape and leave enough to fold it over. Sprayment the fabric AND the top of the lid and glove box. Roll the fabric on evenly and do some creative notching to get it even. Staplegun the flaps. Put it back together and viola! SUPER GAUDY! I cut my stock shift boot seams and copied the leather. I just sewed it up like they taught in 4th grade home-ec (inside out and lock stitched). Turn it inside out and mount back on the frame for the original boot. Done! SUPER GAUDY!

Now if you would've killed the tiger yourself, then I'd be impressed.
J/K man, to each his own I suppose. It unique that's for sure.
