Project: Desert Flower
Well I'm back for round two. This time with a '93 S13 hatch. It's gold, brown, auto and all sorts of ugly. Most importantly however is that it is completely stock and 100% rust free.
My previous s14 build thread: http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=492292 Plans: Manual swap. TypeX all the things. 1J. High school girls. First purchase should always be cool wheels. 17x9.5 Volk TE37's. They need a little love but got a good deal from Hobbs. I also picked up 5 lug and black interior from him. Almost have all 5 speed parts pieced together. Stay tuned for nudes. Swung it by my buddies shop to check out the undercarriage. It's pretty darn clean. No leaks, no rust, no surprises. First up was to figure out why the steering wheel was vibrating more than your girlfriends favorite toy... This might have something to do with it. Threw on some Megan arms off my s14. They do fit but you have to screw them all the way in. Hopefully the caster will be alright. Vibration gone! Picked up a set of kouki tail lights.

Finally got the auto slab yanked out and 5speed in
I used a SR trans I had laying around. So I had to swap bell housings. Finished the swap with tomei/nismo Started swapping out the nasty brown interior. I decided to dye the tan carpet black. I was very satisfied with the out come. That's a bit better. Still need seats/wheel but for now it's much better!

You did the door panels and the dash too?
Would you recommend it?

No, I dyed the carpet with that. I replaced the dash and door cards.

My stock seats had been mauled by a raccoon and were in horrible shape. Picked up a rep bride and used my s14 pass seat. Fun fact that seat was the last part I had left from my old car.

Nice build so far. Do yourself a favor and grab some z32 front brakes at least. My 97 felt dangerous with the stock garbage brakes. Best $250 I've ever spent on my car.

I had z32 on my old car and wasn't impressed with them. I'm going to be doing ctsv calipers.

Not to thread jack, but while talking about the 6 piston ctsv calipers. Has anyone heard of having any bad brake bias issues? Because I have been really wanting them as well.
