Stock SR T25 1/4 Mile Times

Just curious what other people are getting with the stock T25 on their SR20DET Cars.

Mine is an S13 SR20DET Redtop II in an S13 Coupe (full interior) running 14 psi on the stock T25 using falken street tires (FK-451's). A few minor mods like exhaust, intake, and bigger IC.

13.48 @ 104.1 mph with a crappy 2.111 second 60 Foot, on a poorly prepped track.

i ran a 12.9 with greddy front mount, and intake manifold as for boltons. 2.2 60' alot depends on sea level and outside temp. 2.1 is a pretty decent 60' for street tires

you're right where you should be, for an SR20 w/T25 and minor bolt ons, mid to low 13sec passes are very good, 12.9 is fantastic

I know I could have run faster than a 13.4, I just didn't have enough time to give it a shot. My best trap was 105 mph, and I ran a 13.52 doing that. Oh well, next season, I'll be blowing those times away, lol.

Where are you guys shifting at?

My best was only like a 14.4 @ 98mph w/ a 2.4 60' or something like that. Also ran that time with both 7psi boost and 10psi boost.

A decent driver should be able to pull 2.2s on decent street tires. Get a set of drag radials and run 1.8s. They say every .10 you cut off your 60, cuts .20 off your 1/4 mile time. Not far from the truth.

Friend of mine ran a 12.9 @ 108 with stock T25. S13 coupe. And he shifts way early. Like, he said he shifted at like 6k in 1st, so he can be in 2nd gear making some power under boost, and he shifts at like 6500rpm (T25 really chokes after that anyway).

::shrug::

I haven't tried that method yet.

With my s13 hatch the best i could do until my cheap ass coupler blew was 13.9 with my [email protected] I only had an upgraded fuel pump, apex'i n1 exhaust, and a vlsd.. Given that was my first time at the track also.

Thats with street tires, 14 psi, fmic, intake, exhaust and in florida meaning I was really close to sea level. I think I shift to slow or something. Do you guys "power shift" or just shift like normal? ie. letting off the gas when you push the clutch in..

No reason to power shift - that will only destroy your car.

That trap speed is a little low . . usually 240's w/SR's trap around 105ish . .

His 60' is also not a 2.0 If it was a 2.0 then I can see how the trap speed might be 105mph ish.

My trap speed was only 98mph and running 10psi, and had a 2.3 and 2.4 60'

hmm, I have no idea. That run was back in May of last year at Orlando Speedworld. The only guy I remember from that night was a guy with a white Kouki S14.

Also, interestly enough, that same night I managed a 2.121 60'...but that ended up being a [email protected] might of had someone in the car with me on that run...I can't remember.
Anyway, you guys have got me thinking that I could do a lot better without changing the car... hmmm

Oh well, I'm gonna go back to OSW with some friends hopefully when money isn't so tight, and crank it up to 14psi and see what I can do.

I ran 12.95 on my redtop hatch w/ BPU's (FMIC/3"/Boost controller @ 13 LBS. I was running bald 235/45 BF Goodrich G-Force Sports at 28PSI. 2.0 60 foot, no speed shifting, +100 degree track temps... the track was well prepped, though.

I'll see if I canm dig up those slips, it's been more than a year.

I'm assuming you have slicks or drag radials to get that kind of 60'...

1.6 are possible with drag radials and an lsd of some sort.

I used to run 1.90s with an open diff and drag radials way way back.

Best was a [email protected] iirc.

best ive ever hit was a 1.60 with (no 2 step) bf goodrich comp ta's and a t04b on a stock sr block/head etc.

2 step makes things easier but depending on routine servicing and condition of parts it can wear stuff out.

good times.

i think the mid 12s are thanks to very light cars (ie stripped or xe model's etc).
