It's a 4 door datsun 510.
Datsun is Nissan. My 510's sill plates say manufactured by Nissan. The Valve cover on the stock motor says Nissan on it. They used the name Datsun until 1983 because when they started marketing cars in the U.S. they felt the name Nissan sounded to Japanese to market with in a domestically dominated car market scene. The car is a product of the Nissan motor coorporation. I just think that sometimes people in the 240sx world are so new to the car scene that they don't realize these old Datsuns running around are all Nissans, and thus is why we swap engines from newer s13's, z31's, etc. The 240sx is a direct derivative of the 510 actually. IRS, rwd, 4 cylinder platform, and the power plants all have direct hand me down the line striking similarities to each other also. So when you see a 510 or a Z roll up to a 240sx gathering, remember where your technology stemmed from. Roots. Danny |

You gotta learn to take a Joke. I understood what you guys ment. I know what the 510 is. I personally would perfer a CA18 in a 510 just because of room. The smaller CA18 would be perfect and still give you alot of room to work inside the car with. Anywayz off topic. Yeah I was just messing around. I thought you guys would have picked up on that. P.S. I want an RB25DET powered 1970 Datsun 240z. Now that would be my dream car.

It's all good.... I never thought you weren't joking (although everyone knows you can't tell that stuff in online text even with smileys n stuff). I was just clarifying for people that really do get confused. Now you wanna debate the ca18 topic? haha Nah... I respect anyone that does a clean engine swap into a 510 regardless of the motor... although people that step outside the nissan world for engine swaps do scare me sometimes. Danny |

hi. i might show up. sounds interesting. i know that a stock 92 should weigh about 2680 or so, but you never really know until you do it for real right? i just need to know where this happy days diner is located.

Directions
Ok guys heres the directions.
From 880 north. Take 880 south. Exit Camden. Make a right on camden. Make a left at the first light Bascom. Make a right at Curtner. Parking lot on the immeadiate left. From santa cruz. Take 17 (880) north exit camden. Make a right on camden. Make a left at the first light Bascom. Make a right at Curtner. Parking lot on the immeadiate left. From hwy 85 exit 17 towards san jose (north) Take first exit Camden. Make a right on camden. Make a left at the first light Bascom. Make a right at Curtner. Parking lot on the immeadiate left. I should be able to make it out there as well. Unfortunately my 240 is collecting dust while it waits for an engine transplant, so I'll probably be driving my AE86.
