i say yes, BBQ sounds good. i think we should use the email thing like Al did to make sure we know exactly who is coming so that way we can get the right amount of food. and i dont really think a pot-luck is that great of an idea cuz then we will just have a bunch of soda and chips to eat. so hmm, we must come up with a figure for the cost per person or something. unless people would like to volunteer to buy specific things to donate besides soda and chips haha. but yeah, that park sounds like a good place.
(this is where i would have put the thumbs up emoticon from the old zilvia board)

How about a first-come-first-serve kinda thing? This way we set aside an X amount of money and split it among a number of people willing to help with the money, and won't have to collect money from anyone else.
Example: set $50 as the budget and find 10 people willing to split the cost to make it $5 per sponsor. Get whatever we can with the $50 for the BBQ. First come first serve, so those who show up late (haha GotDriftS14) might not get any food but those who arrive on time will get to eat. If there aren't any objections then I'd like to set Lake Cunningham Park as the next meet location. The park sometimes charges $2 per car for parking. That won't be a problem right? |

Oh yeah, and i can do LA Grand tour... lol... yeah right. Grand tour consists of loitering in front of Quickly's with Nitekids (black s14), invasion of privacy at JSPEC Sam's and also some playage of Initial D Version 2 / Battle Gear 2 at the l33t arcade. hehe |

haven't posted here in quite awhile so i had quite a bit of reading to do to catch up on things.. A meet sounds good. do it during my spring break 18-27 hehe. I put in for food last time and i don't have a problem to pitch in for food again. This time i hope not to burn the RIBS "again" HAHAHAH.. ohh i may have told some people already that i sold my 240's, "BUT" a deal fell through on my red 240. My uncle came down from LA this weekend and told me that he has a 5spd tranny for my 240 so looks like i'll be still in the Nor 240sx family YAY!!! am hella excited now but don't know when he'll bring the tranny down here. Hopefuly before the meet so i can come.

there is talk about having the meet at d & b. i would not like that idea. there may or may not be issues with the security, but i dont think its a good place to socialize.
i have no problem going to the park early, since i live like 1 minute away from cunningham, to reserve a picnic area close to the parking lot. if anyone has any suggestions on what kind of food, let me or daniel know asap [email protected] Last edited by 95Blue240sx; 04-09-2003 at 10:56 PM.. |

I AM STARTING TO HATE BEING IN THE MILITARY!lol I'm missing another meet. I'll tell you guys what though. When I get out of this hell hole and back to Marrysville, I'm gonna get a big spot and have a NorCal meet, I'll even pitch in for most of the food, I spend unneeded money like that lol, and everyone is invited. Unfourtnately it wont be untill the end of June, begining of July. Maybe a 4th of July meet. What yall think. Maybe I'll even be able to bring my 240, sigh, if I get my new bottom end.Sigh Let me know what everyone thinks.
Later and have fun, Jim

I don't think I do. I hadn't been out and around for some time now, but I have heard of a car like that around my area. Someone said there is one with an RB25 in it and another the the guy wouldn't pop his hood. From the way it sounded on the video my friend got it was an SR20. Where does Mark live, its alwayse nice to have another nissan person around to give me a hand. Damn Honda people.lol Later Mike

Ok, I know the car. I occasionally take trips down to Travis for work things and have seen it. I'm not sure what you mean by "got it to go to Iraq" but I know we can't take vehicles with us on these TDY's, or Temporary Duty. Not sure if your Military fimilar.lol This war kind of sucks, I know quite a few of my friends that had to go. Which reminds me, I need to email a few guys. One of my buddies back in Beale AFB finally got his Talon TSI back. Heh, he thinks he will be able to beat me when I get the 40 back togeather. Like thats gonna happen with me having almost 200 more hp than him, well I'm having high hopes about that anyway. We are guessing I'll be around 600whp at 17psi Boost. When I say my engine is gonna be built, I mean it. Send me an email, or catch me on AIM. My screen name is NutBkng. Later
Jim
