Yes, they'll look stupid. Way too sunk in.

any aftermarket wheels will look "stupid" on stock height well.....thats just my opinion and if your going to get FNs you might as well go 5 lug to get a better offset (assuming with that offset your 4 lug) the lower offset FN's look WAY better anyways

I have the same question to. But I don't really care about the look I just really want it to fit and at the same time not cost me to much. My set up is going to be the megan coilover suspension and with the 5zigan rims 35+ offset and about a 215/40 or 45r17 tire.

I had the following on my car and loved how it looked:
d2 coilovers
17x7 +35 front, 17x8 +35 rear FN01R-c's,
azenis sports, 225/45/17 front, 245/45/17 rear

lowered enough that I had to roll the rear fenders a touch and cut the "ridge/lip" on the underside of the front fenders where they meet the body.

17x8 +35 will fit in the front with 215 tires and coilovers. andy wider tire, and they would rub my coilovers. Rolling fenders is not necessary.

this is a pic of a 17x8 +35:

and this is 17x9 +38 (215 tires) (so +35 would be 3mm further out.)

yeah, you may need spacers to run wider tires,
personally i think they look fine, but reason why i would want to get wider rims is to slap on fatter tires, not just looks... just my opinion...

yeah thats how i feel... whats the friggin point of getting 9" wide rims and running a pussy-stretched 215 tire on it? its all looks; which implies RICEBOY

if you buy 9 inchers, get some damn 255s, if you buy 10 inchers get some damn 285s!!!
if they wont fit on your car, then dont buy them in the first place, poseur <--- not directed at anyone in particular

17x9 +15 fits nicely..you could even go wit 17x10 +25 out back since you are goin to roll the rear fenders anyway...ive got a few friends wit the 10's in the rear looks sick..especially how the spokes concave..so sexy..

if you have 4 lug, just run 17x8 +35 offset with the 215's.

get these.... screw the 5 lug conversion...

17x8 35mm(will need 10mm spacers to clear coils) 17x9 35mm, 225/45s and 245/40s.

the rest...... http://www.cardomain.com/id/boostinfested

Why such skinny tires. The whole stretched tire thing is pretty . 8" wide wheels deserve a 245 width tire. I ran 245 azenis (which are really closer to 255-260mm wide) no problem on an 8" width rim.

i was just going by what he put on the 215s. of course it would be a better option running wider tires but i dont see the point in running such wide tires if its basically a stock ka imo.

there's no stock KA involved... its a red top with bolt ons (12 psi, 3" 'turbo back' fmic) so nothing crazy. the thing is, i don't want to drop 1500 on a set of rims.. maybe 800 or so is my budget. im not looking for ricer bling here just something that gets the job done and looks nice.

say i have 17x7s with 215/45 azenis and im just picking out an offset or combination of offset and spacer, what should i go with so that it doesn't look goofy, and the tires aren't sticking out so god damn far i have to roll the fenders.

if you have 4 lug, you can run +35 offset with 10 mm spacers which would make it +25 and that would look pretty flush.

As I said already, 17x7 and 17x8 +35 wheels with 225 and 245 azenis looks just fine. I've got TONS of pictures of my car like that.

then post some. may i ask what the exact size of your tires are? i can't find azenis in either of those sizes, but the sidewall size im searching under probably isn't right.

thank god finally someone agrees with me

215 tire on a 8" or wider tire is LAME
whats the point of having a heavier 8" rim if you're not going to use it?

on my lex I frequently ran 255/50 Michelin Pilot MXX2s on my 17x8s

245s are perfect for a 8" rim, 235 is the bare minimum I would run

no rice is basically a mod that can impair or limit performance in some way just for show... or a mod to make a car LOOK fast...

the stretched tire thing is RICE... its DRIFT RICE... drift rice are ex-ricers who were slightly smarter than their normal ricer friends; but are still ricers and do the whole import-show-bullshit and drifter thing for image purposes

stretched tires are rice, fake rollcages are rice, sport comp tachs when you already have a stock tach (or have an auto tranny), bling is a ghettofied form of rice, etc... gawdy show-cars (including 50% of the cars on this and other 240 forums (freshalloy not included)) are rice...

its just how it is, no reason to defend something like that... if you like it, thats fine, its your opinion that you like it... but the FACT of what rice is, its still there... if you like rice, then thats your opinion.... see what i'm saying?

Motegi is making a nice 20lb 2 piece +23 for z's and s14's (which means s13 with 5 lug as well). Just do a five lug conversion, and call it good. $300 for front crossover hubs, and $100 for junkyard z32 rears (get the aluminum upright while your there) and then you're set.

ps: Rice is a matter of opinion. Some are critics, some are sharers, but everybody has an idea of what rice is. I agree with id, but some people would take offence to his comment. Those people are ricers.....
