Been considering installing a harness bar and harness for the drivers side at some point after the new seat goes in. Id like to leave my interior panels in place.

I understand that the easiest and simplest option is to just leave the panels OUT altogether. To me this makes the interior look unfinished and somewhat cheap.

All i want to know is if people have been ABLE to install the harness bars (specifically the NRG or the mazworx) and still reinstall the trim panels, and if so, how much cutting was necessary?

I realize i can just buy the part and figure it out, but i'd hate to have to take a loss on a part because im not willing to make massive cuts to my interior panels.

I also realize that theres a good possibility that theres NO WAY around it, massive cuts will probably have to be made, in which case i would ask those of you that HAVE installed the bar and found a way to reinstall the trim (modified, of course), could you please snap a pic or two of how it looks?

Installed a harness bar in mycar and didn't have to cut anything other than drilling a hole for the bolt on each side. I didn't have to take the panels off or anything. Its a bit hard(ish) but its not bad. Feel free to co.e to Nashville and check it out...

Btw the harness is NRG and the car is a s13.

Well thats exactly the information i was looking for! thank you very much! Any chance you may be able to snap a pic of one of the mounts on one side? with it installed (how the plastic trim piece is modified?) not that i dont know how to modify panels, id just like to know how someone that already owns one had to modify it.

Your welcome. I'll get some pics in few hours.
Like i said all you need to do is to drill a hole in the panel where the brakets gone to be mounted. Mount the braket on each side first, then mount the bar.

*Note, there is already a nut behind the panel, since i know where it is, i drilled the hole in the right spot. You might have to snap the panel out to see where the nut is. That case you don't have to guess and keep drilling.

Okay well that sounds simple enough. Pics would be nice but yeah it sounds pretty darn simple. Does the harness bar inhibit front/back sliding of the seat? Or do you have to sit a little closer to the wheel to accomodate the bar?
