Floor, frame and rockerpanel angries

well i never thought id do it but next week were going monster garage on my car to make it a new floor segment, new piece of frame rail and new undersides to the rockerpanels

the frame, where it bends from the firewall area on the driver side took a speedbump one day last year and busted open, unknown to me. Now a winters worth of salt and moisture have gone in and left a nasty gouge about the size of my hand on either side. Were going to cut it out and fab. a new piece from plate steel and weld it on. Im going to do another spot like this on the other side that also seems to have some rust. That steel will easily outlast the car

the floor directly above the bend in the exhaust collector is rotted through to a hole about 4 inches around and its rusty all around that. That whole thing is gettin cut out and re done. Its only a small hole and can easily be fixed.

lastly, the downward facing part of each rocker panel are a little...soft....as well as the inside, front facing lower part of the rear wheelwells where they meet the rockerpanels inside. Thats all getting cut out and re-welded too.

Anyone ever do any work like this to their cars? I cant complain, my car is in excellent shape for its age/mileage but if I hadnt had it oilsprayed every year, the whole underside would be rotten out like those other spots.

and that settles it....no more winters.

Would anyone benefit if I took some pics of the procedure?
