Gran Turismo 1. Unlocked the full raced out red S14 kouki. Drove the shit out of that car. Loved the styling, the rims, everything about it. Wanted one ever since. I think I was 12 when I first played it.

Picked up my S14 as a zenki back in feb of 07. Yes it did take me 9 years to get it, lotta shit happened in the meantime. Since then I've wrecked it and rebuilt it as a kouki.

My dream car is coming together piece by piece.

I used to work for Pole Position Raceway and i asked my friend to come in and race with me for free to see if he wanted to work as a mechanic. at the start of the race he was close behind and i just lose him in every turn and slow down at straight aways so he could catch up

after the race he was like oh shit i didnt know you could drift. shit was crazy fast

and i was like huh? whats a drift? i dont get you. i just drive that way because i can carry the speed a lot better around the corners

then he showed me some d1 shiz
and i was looking for a fun car at the time but never knew these cars existed he told me to get a s14 but i was like nah i already have a camry lol i found a s13 later and got hooked. for a great deal too

I got it for like 400 or something. I always wanted an integra growing up, but my freind was selling the 240 for 400, so I was like, Ill pick this up till I can buy a teg. Then I got my teg, and when it came down to choose to sell one, well I sold the teg. And actually I got into the whole import thing when I was like 18 (omg, 2 years ago). Before that I didnt really care much about cars, I just skated and such. First sem in college though I hung out with alot of kids in the import scene, so wed alway roll around in their cars, and eventually, it grew on me.
BTW, Grammar day is over.

I wanted an S13 fastback forever but when I was a kid I had no idea what it was. Fast forward to 2003, I started getting into r/c drifting. One guy I used to talk to online had my dream car as the shell for his car. I asked him what it was and the rest is history.

The most embarrassing thing is knowing in hind sight that I got hosed with this car. I've spent to much just to keep it running. I could have bought a turbo FC and had more reliability.

My ex hated my car. Made her boobs hurt. S13 =\= pussy magnet.

just wanted an affordable, fun to drive, cheap to buy, cheap to insure, unpopular with thieves (was back when I picked it up) rwd daily to replace my older miata.

Was looking at FC's, S13s, and S14s. Found a cheaper S14 shell and went on from there. It still is more or less my daily, aside from when it breaks down. My S14 has been one of the most unreliable and expensive to own cars I've had. went through 2 transmissions the past 6 months alone.

back in 2002 when I was 14 and didnt know shit about cars but enjoyed learning about new things and playing video games,

my cousin bought a 89 240sx, it was one of the first sports cars in my family i was exposed to (the very first being an old 911).

one day while we were having a family get together, my cousin popped in his GranTurismo 3 disc and started playing on his file, and i noticed he was driving a 240sx, like the one he had outside.

Being severly influenced, i went home and started my own file and came to like the look of the s13 and started looking for my first 240 a few months later.

dont know what kind of cars i would be into right now if it wasnt for him

my buddy got me into 240s...

I was looking for a car because my sister had taken the car we were supposedly 'sharing'. I started liking the Scion tC (thank goodness i didn't get one) but my pops told me to get a used car because my insurance would be too high because of a speeding ticket on my record.

I was looking around at civics, accords, integras, altimas, maximas, the typical honda/nissan/toyotas for teens. My buddy tells me to look into 240s and showed me some drifting videos and i was like, dude thats lame. But I started to like how s14s looked and went to go check out a 95 white zenki which turned out to be a 98 black kouki (lol)..

I regret the day I took a freeway onramp too fast and went curb surfing. But I did learn my lesson...

Never knew anything about the S-chassis when I got my car. Just remembered hearing the name Silvia somewhere. So my dad looked into it when we were shopping for my first car. The first one he showed me was the one I ended up with. Knew nothing about the SR motor it had to the K's aero already on it. Furthermore I didnt know how to drive stick so learning a stage 2 clutch was fun...

in high school a friend sold me a beat up one for 900. i really liked the way it performed, dropped with tokico's, super loud exhaust. but then years later i wanted a mint condition one, so that's how i got into it.

to be honest also.

i always thought that there was only one kind of 240sx which was the s14.

i kid in my school 2 years ago had an s13. he told me he had a 240sx but since at the time i thought all 240s looked like s14s. i was shocked and i loved the look of the car.

to be honest i spend that whole summer looking online learning about them.

and then i saw this video

YouTube - dr1ft.jp :: Osaka Touge Drift

FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT GREEN ORIGIN HATCH

AND FOR THAT WHOLE SUMMER 10 TIMES A DAY I WATCHED THAT VIDEO

and that sealed the deal

I was visiting family out of the states...when i got home she was sitting in the driveway a burgundy 95 s14 auto..that was when i was 15 and it sparked it off...every tells me " another 240" .
i prefer the zenki.
my dad had a 92 s13 and a 91 turbo mr2 in his younger days so he put me in his footsteps.

-what got you into s13's - 14's?
my classmate at UTI AZ, Nate (who ive lost contact with, and regret because id love to show him how much ive done to my car since). he went from a 99 Si to a s14 and wouldnt shut up about how awesome 240s were. at the time i was selling my 93 Prelude because i was tired of it. (i riced it out in 2001-2002 when that was still rare, and cool up here). initially i was going to get an EG hatch to build but when i saw the pricing on s13s and the potential of an RB i jumped ship. ironically i ended up buying an EG hatch 2 years and which is now H22 powered and i love both of them

-what was your first emberassing memory relating to your first S car.
dying on the highway coming home from school. luckily it was only a loose battery cable

-whats one thing you regret doing to you or your car during that newb time
not much, just regretting not getting a few other 240s i looked at. i turned down a really nice s13 hatch with a full real bn sports kit, kouki tails, eastbear lights, ka24de because the ignition was broken and it didnt have an interior. i was going to pay 3500 for it but talked him down to 2200 and i still didnt pick it up. still regret it.
another one i looked at and regret not picking up is another clean s13 hatch but it had z32 brake conversion/wheels all around and lsd. i think he wanted 2600 or 2800. also still regret that. but im pretty happy with the one i ended up with even though it was all stock except for the deck and the glove box re-upholstered.

-has it helped you gotten laid or atleast gotten you a girl

I started driving in 1995, and used to see a Zenki S14 around town ALL the time, and I just really liked the way they looked. I had a 81 Buick Regal at the time.
Fuck, I was 16 and working in a grocery store to keep some of the pressure off of my family, so damn if I could AFFORD anything more than a-to-b transportation, but I was not to forget that damn car.
1997 - I have graduated high school now, and that car I so liked was still a little beyond my means, and the new ones are ugly as fucking sin (yes, I have hated Kouki S14's from the gate). Now I have an Oldmobile Cutlass Supreme (sold), and will soon have a 92 Supra (wrecked), then another Cutlass (blown engine), then an 85 Carolla SR5 (sold), and I am nearing the end of college, working full time at a decent job and yaddayaddayadda... Keep in mind, that my only use of the internet to this point was ALL for school and not for recreation, so I knew nothing more about motorsports than what I saw on television, didn't give a fuck about magazines and a "drifter" was a homeless person who went from city to city as far as I knew.
Hey, I got money now, it is March 2001 and I am looking for a car I can actually like, so I am looking through an auto trader and I see a lot in the next county had a 95 for sale, so I swing by and test drive and I like it, so I fill out the paperwork, drop by the next day and pick it up. No plans for it, I was not into heavy modifications and shit, I was thinking nothing more than wheels, tint and stereo at the time, and had those within a few months.
I knew nothing, so the wheels were TERRIBLE fitment, but I had gotten them DUMB cheap, the stereo was as I liked it though, as I had had something in every car I had ever owned...

Then I discovered forums...

My desires for the car changed quickly, B&M shifter, eibach springs and AGX, got it painted and was in the middle of plans to turbo a KA for the car, then I flipped and rolled it and spent 16 days in the hospital.

It was like a bug, though... Even in the hospital, I was planning to either fix mine or get another. Information gained in the in-between of buying and losing the first one had me willing to accept S13 OR S14, I would go for Coupe OR Fastback, but I was NOT willing to take a Kouki S14...
Friend of mine happened to have an 89 coupe shell he was needing to unload before he took a contract job in the middle east, for only 500.00, it was an auto car that the engine had been blown in, he had converted it for twincam already and changed his mind, so no engine/tranny was in the car... Body was clean, as was the interior, so I grabbed a KA from the junkyard and gathered parts from friends for the 5-speed swap. My plans (more hopes than anything at this point) are more grandiose than anything I might have imagined for a car before it, even still though more conservative than the shit that some of these children jerk off to.

Long story I know, but at the beginning of it all was simply the fact that I saw and liked the Zenki S14 when they were knew that got me to notice them, and having owned one is what has kept me INTO them.
Most likely, it will have to be a wreck totaling this one to tear me from it, even when I get a daily and can finish modding it.

what got you into s13's - 14's?
Answered above.

what was your first emberassing (sic) memory relating to your first S car.
Driving back to a party, a faulty aftermarket water pump wobbled, causing my clutch fan to hit my distributor, 3 friends and I had to push my car up a hill to their apartment parking lot.

whats one thing you regret doing to you or your car during that newb time
Those damned wheels.

Let's get real, these cars attract DUDES, not women. Since I ain't into love from the homies, no sex has resulted from owning an s-chassis and it has been almost 8 years now.
