s13 Need opinions on big hp setup!

Ok, not going to balls out on the whole 'big hp' thing. But after much contemplation on my next build, I've decided on a 2jz s13. I've been pretty deadset on a s13 for a while now, but the lack of availability the past month or two for a decent s13 is pretty rare.

ANYWHO, i'm leaning more towards building the motor first. I plan on forged internals, built head, 'superlegit' bolt ons($$$), singled, etc etc.

But here's where i need a little help. My goal is 600whp.
What turbo setup would provide the most response? Should I run a twin setup instead? I plan on running 93 oct, so yah. Any positive criticism/links to applicable information will be appreciated.

There are quite a few threads and builds of people doing all of this. 600Hp is not really balls to the wall for a 2J, hate to break it to you. you may want to use google and the search function on this site for most of your questions. once you come to a question that not common, im sure people would be willing to help. 600whp on a 2JZ should not be a problem with stock internals assuming the motor itself is in good condition.

Turbo Tech Basic | Turbobygarrett

Learn all of this and you should have a better idea what size turbo would get you there.

I'm aware it isn't much for a 2jz, I'd just feel better if it was fresh on a rebuild. And it wouldn't hurt to go forged while I had it apart, right? For reliability/longevity sake.

If u got $$$¥¥¥¥¥, go balls out. Depends on what 2j u put theirs many aftermarket companys cater ur needs. Fuck an safc/fcd combo is as good as standalone if ur low budget baller. Some guys making that kind of Power. Again, tuning is key with supporting mods.

those are pretty big questions for someone set out on 2jz swap s13. If you know the 2jz it can do 800 stock engine. how reliable?? depends how you drive and conditon of the engine. Anyways I would def go single turbo say Precision 67mm, garrett gt4088r or 42r if you want room to grow. If ballin on a budget a master power T-70 with a .84 or .96ar hot side will do the trick. I recommend AEM-EMS 2 for managaement and something like 1000cc or 1200cc injectors would be good and twin walbro 255 or one single in-tank. you could probably make those numbers on pump gas and higher boost with a competent tuner. Only thing I would suggest to help down low maybe cams like hks 272. hope it works out for you

As it has been said the 600hp mark is easily done with stock internals. I would check the motor and if it looks ok then I would spend my cash elsewhere. Just my two cents.

An amazing and proven turbo for the engine and power goal is a 6766 turbo with a T4 .81 a/r. Another option would be a 6266 with a T4 and a .96 a/r. If ur running E85 (recommend) I would run 1200cc injectors. Invest in a good standalone...ProEfi is a bit more expensive then most but the unit and capabilities are rediculous. Pm me if u need more info on the units. U can run twin walbros or Bosch 044 in tank and some -6 or -8 fuel lines...ur call but for those power goals I would stick with -6. Go with GSC S1 cams to help in mid to high end power especially with the 6766....those cams are mint with these turbos. I would also get at least bc springs and retainers if ur upgrading the cams while ur at it.

6766 + GSC S1 + 1200cc + adequate fuel system has made mid 500 to low 600 hp on 93 oct and 700+ on E85

Hell, you can do 600hp on a stock 1JZ. No need for a 2JZ...

Is there any difference between a jdm gs300 and supra 2jz? Other than the GS being front sumped (which I'll be needing anyways)

If you are asking these questions, it leads me to believe you are chasing a pipe dream. Go ask these dumb questions on Supra Forums or JZXProject or something.

Anyone replying to you here(ironic I know) is wasting their time. You claim to want to build a 2jz s13 but it sounds like you down even own a chassis let alone know the difference in blocks. Let me guess you want to build a 6 speed too?

Yah, I don't have a chassis yet, which I believe I already mentioned? But no, i plan on running a 154. Go burn somewhere else, I'm just trying to get some input from someone who has more knowledge on this than me. Regardless, thanks for your opinion
