Stock ka24de rebuild kit?
I'm rebuilding my stock ka24de in prep for boost. This is my first full engine build. What brand makes a quality rebuild kit? Or is OEM Nissan the way to go? No flaming please because that would just make you a flamer Thanks

not too hard. Just make sure you replace the pistons and the piston rings as well as tuning, if you cheap out on everything else, just dont cheap out on the tune.

I don't want to cheap out on anything. The original build I wanted to go with was going to cost 2k+ on the motor alone, but I decided it would be best not to go overboard on my first boosted project lol

If your going to boost might as well get something that's known to be good. If you want budget you can get some Eagle rods and Supertech pistons which are proven. ARP studs and Clevite bearings won't do you wrong. For the gaskets use the Felpro complete sets. Do NOT CHEAP OUT on the TIMING kit..get OEM nissan...there's horror stories about those Top Line and ebay brands.

I have 4 Eagle rods and 2 good CP pistons. I'm going to build a second motor after I have my car running with the stock ka. And yea I'll be checking Nissan's prices first, but no cheap brands for me. I'm on a budget, but I'm not a cheap ass lol

Just pm me an offer for them. How do you like the Supertech pistons? I've seen mixed reviews about them. Because if my block can't be deglazed/honed I will obviously have to get oversized pistons. I've been checking out FRSport, and I think that's where I'll be getting most of my stuff from!!

I heard the OSK timing kit is good too if you want to consider that, and its like almost half the price of the OEM nissan. I have not used it however.
