Help! R32 caliper

Can someone help!!!!!!I recently bought a set of front caliper to do a big brake conversion on my s13. The caliper i got was from a r32...the caliper are aluminium and i need to buy some rotor but sure if the caliper are 26mm or 30mm.. i did a measure of the gap where the rotor sit in it and it's like 1 3/8 about 2inch off from being 1 1/2. The guy that i bought it from say that 300zx rotor fit but i just want to verify before i buy the rotor.

1 3/8th of an inch is just shy of 35mm. So I'm not sure what you're asking. Use the search function, there's a lot of info about OEM brake upgrades.

I did alot of research and all point to 30mm calipers but the guy sold it to me said it was 26mm calipers and they all use the same rotor as z32.

350Z standard brakes:
Rotor size 296mm x 24mm
Nissan 2 pot calipers, same pads as 91-02 Maxima

300ZX (Z32) brakes:
Rotor size 280mm x 30mm
Nissan/Sumitomo 4 pot calipers

R32 GT-R brakes (sold through Nismo USA as "Skyline" brakes):
Rotor size 296mm x 32mm
Nissan/Sumitomo 4 pot calipers, same pads as Z32

350Z track model brakes:
Rotor size 324mm x 30mm
Brembo 4 pot calipers, same pads as R33/R34 GT-R, BMW 850
I searched "r32 calipers on z32 rotors" Now it said theres a dif between GT-ST and GT-R brakes but it doesn't say, so yeah. But I'm just gonna put this information out there.

Heres from another forum.
______________
Front
S13 CA18det = 256mm x 22mm 1-Pot (88-91)
S13 CA18det = 280mm x 22mm 1-Pot (91-94)
theres no S13 with 4 pot even not the Type-X so far i know

S14 SR20det = 280mm x 28mm 4-Pot
Z32 TT VG30dett = 280mm 28mm 4-Pot
BNR32 RB26dett = 296mm x 32mm 4-Pot
ECR33 RB25det = 296mm x 30mm 4-Pot
BCNR33 RB26dett = 324mm x 32mm 4-Pot
ER34 RB25det = 310mm x 30mm 4-Pot
BNR34 RB26dett = 324mm x 32mm 4-Pot

I doubt the OP has r32 GTRs.

Post a pic and we can help you identify the calipers.

It sounds like you have R32 GTS brakes which use a 280mm rotor similar to Z32TT and S14SRs as listed.

you just need z32 rotors. not the 26mm thickness, but the 30mm thickness.

you can special order gtr rotors for that extra thickness if you indeed have gtr calipers, but its not worth the wait. no one states-side will stock them, or very few will.

R32 GTR calipers use specific rotors, 30mm Z rotors will not work. To the best of my knowledge the GTS-T's did use 30mm rotors, but the diameter is larger (29x mm vs 28x mm). You need to know for sure what calipers you have so you can get the right rotors, which will not be cheap or easy to find. As shown in the post above the GTR calipers have no fins on them...

thats shit advice

i am posting a screengrab from the older DBA catalog. if you cant figure out what you need from this, then you need to stop modifying cars.

you can get rotors from stillen if you want to be bent over, or try ebay UK

And people used to think 26mm and 30mm z32 calipers were the diameter of the physical pistons . Some people Mis represent facts. It's indeed the size or thickness of rotors each type will accommodate.
