I beat Crimson Room, but couldn't beat Viridian Room. Haven't played White Chamber yet.

LOL - what if I were to tip toe on top of the green dotted line? Anyway, your question was asking something different though - it says "1 ladder every 25 yards" is required, which is different from "you must be within 25 yds distance from a ladder at any given time," which is what your scenario is. Now I can go to sleep, all is well. Someone take a shot at the quarter placing riddle.

Someone explain the Devil/Quarter. And if it's some dumb shit, like you place a quarter, then flip the table over, I'm gonna be pissed.

It's a visual trick. Watch the image carefully. The first triangular segment that's cut away is 8 wide, 3 tall (this is the upper left segment). The upper right segment is also 8 x 3. The lower segments each consist of a rectangular piece that's 3 x 5, and a triangular piece that's 2 x 5. The key here is recognizing that the slopes of the triangular pieces don't actually match up. The upper segments have a slope of 3/8; the lower segments have a slope of 2/5. 3/8 <> 2/5. For the pieces to actually fit together the way they do in that picture, the slope of the upper segments (which is 3/8) would have to intersect perfectly with the corner 5 blocks over, 2 blocks down. It may appear to in the image, but it doesn't. |

It's just a trick - if you were to do it on a gridded paper, it would not work out as the GIF shows.
Here's a hint for the quarter placing problem - think symmetry (and no, it has no tricks, and assume the devil won't screw you over regardless). |

Here are my offerings:
1) A detective arrives at a crime scene. The Prime Minister has apparently been assassinated, shot in the head while sitting in his car. The windows are all rolled up, none of them broken. There is no gun, or gunpowder residue, on the inside of the car. He was alone in the car, with all the doors locked, when he was assassinated, yet there is no evidence of any of the doors having been jimmied or opened at all. The detective is able to solve the case without trouble. Why? 2) A king enters his castle after a long day of fighting wars. Tired, he goes upstairs to take a long, hot bath. He enters his bathroom and shuts the heavy, airtight oak door. As he closes it, the latch on the outside falls shut, locking him in. He pounds on the door, trying to get someone to hear him, but it's no use; his servants won't be upstairs for another few hours. He figures he may as well take his bath while he's in there, so he turns on the water. After a few minutes, he goes to turn the water off and finds that the taps are stripped. The room is airtight, with no windows or ways out, the tub is filling up fast, and the rest of the room won't be far behind. How can the king avoid drowning? |

i dont get what you dont know....the purpose for leaving the switch on and then turning it off before you go check is that if it had been that switch the light bulb would be off when you go check it but the bulb would be hot because we all know after being on for a couple minutes a bulb is pretty hot.
here's another one. Two days ago, Suzy was 8. Next year, she'll be 11. How is this possible?

I'm terrible at trying to remember exactly how to tell the riddle, but I'll clarify: None of the glass in the car is broken, and the passenger compartment is completely sealed off from the driver's.
And yep, just pull the drain plug It's November 1st, and you're talking about months? *shrug* |
