Find some old school Prime 5 star Hammers. GANGSTA. You don't really see 15"'s in those sizes. They'll fit fine, but good luck finding some.

good luck getting wide 15 in, unless you order custom, like work equip 01/03 it wouldnt really make sense to do run a wide 15" imo (more for hachi), especially if its for daily, just get some 15x7+0 meshies and call it a day.

for wide i'd run regular sizes if possible. the only reason why stretch is needed is because car is too low/stretch+camber will clear more. but that's mostly for show. wheels that are about 5-10mm sunken vs over sized would be overall better for performance. 15x7+0 and like 15x8+13~ would be nice sizes not too much stretching and not too heavy on the camber.
regular is like 235-255 on a "9 215-245 on a "8 if possible. the front sizes look pathetic and the rears are really mexican. don't need to stagger... if you want to look cool try 9-9.5f and like 10-11r... no real point to do 7/8 8/9... |

having wide rims and tires is just for show. clearly it has nothing to do with the amount of tire that comes in contact with the road so the tire can grip. DUH </sarcasm>

Find 3 peice wheels and buy new lips, if you can find damaged 3 peice wheels thats even better.
Kodiak wheels sells lips for them. Or browse around on club4ag you will find something.

If you have some old option or doriten mags you probably will see some. Widest I had was 15x7.5, im sure if you search you will see 15x8.
15x9 isnt much off. I don't see how a 15x9 will look any different than a 15x7 except some additional lip in some cases, and wider stance... If the offset is right, it will look fine...

I would have thought that if he said 15" wide wheels
but he stated wide 15" wheels, and seemed to have decent grammar after that.

No, just read the subject, I got it after reading through. Just the subject sounds funny. I'm not dogging on him or anything, I just was wondering.
*edit* would have made more sense if it said 15" wheels that ARE wide. You see? |

Seriously, what kinda tire sizes are people running with their 15" wide ass wheels? Like 15x9 0 offset or something.
I mean, I'm sure you can stretch some 205/50/15s on there, but that's about the widest 15" tire with a decent sidewall that I could find. I must not be searching hard enough... |

Um I the pic I posted of the Prime's up above are 15X8, -27 offset. Wayyyy better than puny 0 offset.. and dont stretch a 50 series tire on 15's. It looks stupid. Go 55, and 60's on the rear. Im running a 205 55 15 on my 8.5" -15 centerlines (the ones on the front in the action shot). It looks dope, and I cant go any wider or taller without rubbing..

@ exitspeed: I found them on Craigs List about 3 weeks ago. Some guy in emeryville had them on a 70's 280z. I think he didnt quite know what they were worth to us 240 folks. picked up the whole set for 250$ It's odd though, you guys are the first people to appreciate them, almost eveyone else said the were stupid offset (cholo-flush) and redneck truck wheels. ? w/e i love them and cant wait to get me some tires for them. sure they will be a little overflush but that is what a metal pipe + torch is for. hell if people can rock 8.5 -20~ offset i can sure as shit fit these.
@meatish: when did i say i was going to run 50 series? i said 205/55 and 215/55 in the rear. ill look into the 215/60 for the rear though, thanks for the suggestion! |

Thanks for the advice meatish, I'll definitely check out the 205/55/15 or 205/60/15 sizes if I ever get some wider 15" wheels in the future.
For now, I'm saving up for 225/45/17 tires for my 17" wheels... |

Sorry dorifto i didnt mean it like that, I was just trying to get it out there. 50 series on 15's on a car as big as an s13.. doesnt look too great. And you should have no problems fitting 0 offset 8" on your car. maybe with the 215's on the back. maybe just a little roll+camber, but really no problem unless your car is lowered a lot. The reason I have an 'angry caveman pull' on the back is not to fit the (15X8.5, -15) centerlines or the (15X8, -27) primes, but so that I can tuck them. Really, it's no problem getting the wheels in there, just it's gonna look weird unless you roll and slam it.
Oh, and BTW, the 60 series tires on the back are to give a sort of stagger, but I havent been running it like that long enough to tell if it makes a huge difference. If anything, at least it will save you some $$$.. 55 series used tires are kind of rare around here. w3rd..

@ meatish. its cool, man i was just confused. anyhow thanks for the info. its good to get it from someone who is actually running the setup (or damn near) im going to have. it was annoying having people with the obligatory fno1 +20 all around telling me how my wheels are absolutly not going to fit without wide fenders or its gonna look hella mexi-flush and lame. anway it might look slightly awkward with just my tien s-tech and tokico's, but once i get my bonus (another 3 weeks or so), and a nice fender roll/pull, im ordering coils... yay for slammed on 15's! |
