Theres no way your going to get a good SR for $1300. Just giving you some advice, please save up some more money if your planning to get an SR. I put $2000 down for an SR and that still wasen't even enough (doing the swap myself too) because I needed to buy misc. things like fuel pump, new water pump for the SR, bigger radiator/new hoses, etc.
You don't want to just get any SR and throw it in there trust me. Save up more money and make sure the SR is done right, cleaned up a bit and put together. You will hate yourself when you have to work on the SR day after day after you put it in. I'd say a good $2300-$2500 or so should do it. |

I have an S14 KA24DE for $800. Compression 180psi all around. Save the $500 and put that towards a turbo. Make more power than an SR, $1300. Done and done.
You can drive around with my engine and boost it when you're bored. |
