s13 S13 slave cylinder bleeding help

Hi zilvia i own a 91 240sx and recently swaped my clutch and now need to bleed my slave but for some reason it didnt work for me.....this should be easy for anyone but im having trouble building pressure..............my clutch pedal is loose no matter how long i pump it......im starting to think its my master , i took it off the fire wall and blew in through the resevior, and tried to blow into from the side its supposed to feed slave and was tight.i dont know if that cancels the master. Also i tried a few times to bleed ...both the clutch master(not the cylinder, the box near slave) and the slave for a good while each time and no luck...i was told that it could take uptp five hours ,,,,i hope not please help....i bought some koni;s and ground controls ...i dont know what they feel like cause my cars sitting heeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllpppppppppppp

It shouldnt take up to five hours.. The hydraulic lines are not that long, so shouldnt take that long to bleed. Perhaps, the slush[dampening] box is bad. you can bypass the clutch slave line directly to the master. This will make it alot stiffer. Other than that , you may have a bad slave or master

Thanks for the reply .....I m gonna try that tomorrow since I ran out of light .. Today o tried bleeding again and managed to build some pressure but the pedal didn't seem to return home...and I remember my pedal would sometimes need to be reset manually in the mornings and second gear would grind . I don't know if that's cause of my master cylinder.

I had the same problem after changing my clutch and slave but I found out somehow my master went bad so I replaced it. I bleed it and it works great now.

my slave cylinder is my oem , i found a couple holes in my dust cover for the slave so i replaced it with one from autoparts...this is all after i already tried bleeding the slave from autoparts..i didnt stay with this slave from autoparts becuase the travel was shorter than my oem , my oem is marked 11/16 and the other says 3/4 i dont know if thaT MAKES A DIFFERENCE or what that means.and so you know what i mean by shorter the dust cover on my oem has 3 rings in the ruffles whem the one from autoparts only has 2 rings. i dont know what to do now ..........im wondering if i installed that throwout bearing onto the fork right along with that pin-clip? it looks as it should from what i can see and its loose as in i can move towards front of car and it returns im wondering if its supposed to apply pressure towards front of car so its pushing on slave. APPRECIATE THE HELP

So you have a new master, a new slave and you bent the clutch line?

That's the simplest thing ever.

Take this shit back to basics - mount the master / slave, tighten up the clutch lines. Open the bleeder and pump the clutch - does fluid come out? Are you or someone else adding more fluid when you pump? Before you tighten the bleeder, is there a solid squirt of brake fluid coming out (not sputtering like it's mixed with air, should be liquid only).

If you've done that then your problem isn't with the hydraulics. Either your clutch pedal isn't attached to the cylinder right or you got something fucked in your bell housing.

EDIT: don't worry about the differences in the cylinders for now - if it's OEM replacement and your car isn't highly modified, it should at least be functional.

When I had this problem, I thought something was wrong inside the bellhousing too so I dropped the tranny again to make sure every was in place. It ended up being my master being clogged.
