Old school FTMFW.
I WILL own a muscle car or two before I die. I must. Quite possibly my favorite pro touring '69 Camaro. A prime example of what it's all about. BTW, this car belongs to a guy named S.W. (has a really long name). He's out in Austin, Texas...he has almost 20 cars...Ferraris, Corvettes, you name it. His pro touring Mustang is badass as well. Another favorite: The '69s are my favorite of all the Camaros...they're so fucking gorgeous. They're high on my "I must have" list. Another car I desire. Buick GS 455...torque monster (510 ft/lbs) I want one just like this minus the wheels. Ford Torino Cobra...saw one in TN but I didn't get to take a pic of it. 1970 is my favorite year for them. And of course 2 of my favorite movie cars... Some pics I took not too long ago (Floyd Garrett Muscle Car Museum in Tennessee) View the rest of the pics here: rsr007 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Lane Motor Museum (also in TN) Art's Auto Mart (Bowling Green, KY...next to the Corvette Museum) A few other websites to check out (if you like pro touring and stuff): Lateral-g.net :: The g-Machine Network. i've been looking for a hemi dart to use as a daily driver. these are all 340's, i'm sure. but i'd go for a 318 or even a slant six.. the 225 gets shockingly good gas mileage. this one is mine. it's a '67 Ford Galaxie 500XL convertible. it has a 390ci v8 with a three speed auto on the floor. if i don't find a Dart to clean up for daily driving purposes by winter, i'll finish up this instead as my winter project. it needs a couple things to run properly and be a good weekend cruiser (at 18 feet long i wouldn't dream of daily driving it, although my dad did back in the 80's). it needs a new fuel line from the tank to the pump. i put in a new pump and it'll run off a beer bong i rigged up, but rats ate the line. i found a preserved rat in the gas tank when i cleaned it out and resealed it, as well. the interior is almost mint, the top is perfect. the paint is flaking in a few spots, and there's some very light rust forming on the rockers and around the rear wheel wells, but again, it's VERY LIGHT, no holes, just surface rust from what i've seen. this is a very solid car and damn near perfect, just needs some freshening up.
