That guy prolly wanted his S14 to look like the eclipse in the fast and the furious which had a roof scoop and a wing that was too big and unfunctional so he put those on his car.

I don't see any aerodynamic advantage to having a roof scoop, it's functional on WRC cars, so most people don't know what to think of it. I'm positive it's for fresh air for the driver and navigator.
Agree about the wing, if that wing produced the amount of force it's capable of, it would tear through whatever he's got it mounted too. I seriously doubt he's got something substantial to brace that wing on the underside of the trunk.

on WRX cars it is generally to provide air circulation for the dirvers yes... this is also the purpose in GT racing.

the functional roof scoops which i have seen are usually closer to the rear of the hood, and are found on mid/rear engine cars like NSX's, MR2's, and of course, porsches, for fresh intake air.

im sure there are functional roof scoops which will make a difference for aerodynamics, but something else would probably break before he got to the point that he would need it.

oh ok i get it s13grl.  yea i love speedvision, watch it all the time (or whenever i can which aint much) that cooling duct could also be for the rear brakes areodynamics might also play a role plus they tend to put air filters high (keeps the dust away)

A friend of mine mentioned this to me, he reads Max-European edition and tells me of these certain cars that have the cone air filter sitting outside of the car. Says it looks badass, but I've never seen any of them. Truth is, I haven't even looked. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

And yeah, Speedvision kicks ass!
