HKS wastegate adjustment with manual boost controller
What's the proper way to up boost to 17lbs via manual boost controller with the HKS internal wastegate?
At first i was only running 8lbs, which is stock. now i've adjusted the rod, and I'm currently at 10lbs. but I also have a manual boost controller hooked up, and i'm looking to reach 17lbs, but when adjusting the MBC, I'm not increasing or decreasing my boost. is there anything else that i need to do to the HKS wastegate? |

Sounds like you have the mbc hooked up wrong.
Why, may I ask are you using an mbc on top of the hks wastegate actuator (basically two MBCs) |

I might try out my friends MBC since I know his is good.
I followed the diagram for using a MBC on a internal wastegate. What should the proper setup should be? If I don't run an actuator what should I use? |

The HKS actuators have an opening pressure of 0.8-0.9 kg/cm^2 (11.4-12.8 PSI). I would adjust the preload to get it into that range with the MBC disconnected. Then connect the MBC and adjust to get your desired 17 PSI.

Clearly you don't understand how a wastegate works.

You shouldnt't need a manual boost controller with the adjustable HKS internal wastegate. All you have to do is shorten/add more tension to the rod and it should raise the boost.

Run the HKS wastegate. MBC with a stock wastegate sucks compared to the HKS one. Sell the MBC and move on. You increase boost by shortening the rod on the wastegate. And what turbo and injectors are you running for 17psi? Also, what tune?
