SR Turbo Oil Feed Issue
I recently picked up a complete SR that had been sitting for quite sometime and found it has a stripped oil feed. This isn't a big deal, but upon further inspection I found the hole to the oil passage is incredibly tiny compared the the two other blocks I have and 4 others friends checked.
The picture below is what the engine in question looks like inside the turbo oil feed, you can tell the threads have seen better days and the very small hole leading into the oil passage. Original full res image This image shows what every other SR I have referenced looks like. I have verified the block is a DET block, not a drilled/tapped DE block. I am wondering if anyone has seen something like this? I can't tell if there is a broken off fitting in the hole, but before I start drilling into it I wanted to confirm that this is not normal.
