what metal piece is this found on an sr20det oil pan

Found a small piece of metal inside the oil pan of an sr20det. attached the pic. seems to be aluminum but i cant figure out where it came from. no other metal shavings.

yup looks like casting to me too..might recommend compression test to ensure not piece of cylinder or piston...also make sure you aren't mixing coolant an oil...
