'92 super hicas PS question! HELPPP.
BACKROUND; so i have a 1992 super hicas model. i changed out the subframe to a NON hicas and blocked off the PS lines to the rear.
PROBLEM; i want to change my PS pump..but im not sure if a normal KADE ps pump will be okay. other option; rebuild my existing PS pump. PICS SOON TO COME OF THE COMPARISONS this is normal KADE ps pump http://nissaninfiniticlub.net/photop...8dscn00225.jpg ajsfhf i need to take a pic of the hicas Last edited by S14Cuhh; 07-08-2009 at 11:14 PM.. |

i did this swap a month ago on my car, but i removed all the HICAS lines and converted it to 2wheel. If you already blocked off the line to the rear then i believe you can put a 2wheel pump in its place. you cannot use the HICAS bracket it wont work on a 2wheel pump. so make sure you pick up both from the junkyard.

i cant recall if the smaller PS reservoir will work. Because the HICAS reservoir is longer in length the return line might be to short, unless you relocate it lower but i could be wrong. I suggest you convert all the lines to a 2wheel steering. HICAS is just to complicated and takes up to much room extra hard/soft lines, HICAS solenoid valve, and a safety valve just get rid of it all.
