S13 Combination Switch wiring question
So my tail lamp fuse blows the second I plug in the battery.
Here is a picture of the combination switch wires: The wire runs from the fuse, through the SMJ, to the switch, and then from the switch, through the SMJ, to the tail lights. The red/blue wire (to tail lamps) is grounded with the SMJ unplugged (somewhere between the SMJ and the connector). Can someone confirm that it is NOT SUPPOSED TO BE GROUNDED before I tear apart the entire harness? Thanks. |

Download a copy of the Factory Service manual before you rip the harness apart and make the confirmation for yourself.

You need to go to the tail lamps and make sure your power wires aren't frayed and touching any ground. that will blow the fuse. Also having corroded sockets with connections touching will blow the fuse..

Ive been going through the smj wiring pretty heavily lately. according to the fsm there is no ground on Red/Blue from the smj to its light on the other end.
