Ok seriously. How the fuck is a freewheel bike a man bike over a fixed gear? Is it because you have two brakes? Or is it because if you slip a pedal your completely ok. I've fallen while rideing freewheel bike a few times. Going pretty fast and it sucks too but fixed gearrs are man bikes. Because of how badly they can fuck you up. So that ebate is out the winow. And as far as making threats from my deathbed... come one...really? You must think I'm one of those pussies like a lot of guys on here. I'm fine. I'm home I'm happy and like I said. Come see me. I got in an accident. I'm not fucking cripple. Ill still fuck some shit up. Fucking pussies make coments like that and that shit pisses me off. Trying to call people out from behin a computer. And ill be at the weds night meet off of jefferey and walnut tonight. And ill get there via my "man bike"(fixed gear)

Yes. To be ridden. Not to be a trend where people mount it ontop of there car and go "look how fucking cool I am, I have a fixie" even though they never ride and are grossley over weight. i decided to ride a fixed gear bike becuase i can determine at X speed i am spinning at X rpm CONSTANTLY
not only does it keep your heart rate up, but you work muscles in your legs you dont normally work on a road bike slowing down. I started riding also to be able to spin more. i was having problems spinning over 120ish. Now i can sustain 150-160 for a minute without any problems. it helps.

i mean, am i going to take a fixed gear on a 100 mile jaunt through the mountains....no, im gonna break out my road bike, but the fitness factor of a fixed gear is what got to me, being able to color coordinate and shit was just a bonus.

Spinning fast without straps makes me feel uneasy, cause I can get tossed by the bike if I'm not careful.
