300kw CA Powered 180sx Drift Car
Hey dudes i'm Oliver, new to Zilvia but have been browsing on here for a while. I'm from Aus, love drifting and building cars. I have a few cars but thought I might as well throw up a build thread for my 180sx. Might make one for my S13 later on.
I bought the car in june 2010 as a mild street car with a slightly modified CA. Ended up destroying the motor so ripped it out and had a think about what to do next. I wanted to do something a little different so built a 2.1L CA and attached a GTX3071. Works really well so far and doesn't have an insane amount of lag. It made 291.8kw without any issues. Drove it for the first time a couple weeks ago and had a sick time. Also went to a drift matsuri a at the end of last month and had a crazy good weekend. Went through loads of tyres, got lots of videos and overall had the best time in the car. Still have loads to do with my suspension setup and some aero so quite a fair way to go until I'm finished. Here's a rundown of everything in the car. I have a blog if you want to see more info on the 180 or any of the others - Oliver's Import Heaven Also have a page if you want more frequent updates - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Olive...91048287609971 Comments welcome |

Bit of update on the car, I put on some pods and a type x wing that I'd been waiting to throw on for a while now. Finally had them painted during the week and came out looking like this - I fitted up the wing quickly, came up looking pretty good. Not sure if Im a fan or not, might grow on me Got back to a mates place and fitted up the pods. They look awesome On monday I went drifting with some friends and had a blast, love driving so much Then in my last session this happened.. Which resulted in this So brand new freshly painted pods that I fitted on sunday were done. The other side is ok, but passenger side is completely destroyed. I've gotta go over the car before christmas, also need to save some money towards the next Winton Matsuri in february. Also I finished my video recap from winton, check it out here if you want - |

Sorry for no updates, bit stupid seeing how I said I would update it haha
I got the chance to get some new Powered by Max coilovers and fit them up. I went drifting yesterday at a wet pan with a few friends. We had tandems and trains all day long, no crashed but pretty close. Some of the best fun I've ever had on a skid pan. And I refitted my destroyed pod (helped by some really strong tape) and also decided to fit my once smashed passenger side skirt. Havent had a pair of skirts on the car since October 2010 when I originally smashed it into 50 pieces. Hopefully someone puts up some photos of everyone driving.. So much fun |

So not much has happened since my last skid day in the 180sx. I've played around with alignment a little bit, pulled out some camber, checked over everything mechanical and made sure it's all sweet.
Decided I'm going to work on my steering setup. I currently have Hey Man knuckles, I am looking to get some knuckles, have some LCA's extended and going to run either PBM tie rods or ikeya tie rods. Both are pretty similar priced and readily available, just have to decide on one. I'm going to Winton matsuri again in 5 weeks so have to get a few things done beforehand. New cage to meet their rules, loads of tyres, some more wheels, gotta fix my quarter window and if I have some spare time I may get some front tubs which is a bit doubtful. Here's an updated shot of the bay, I need to polish it at some point. |

I entered Winton Matsuri again which is coming up in the next 3 weeks, had to get a new cage for the car that I fitted yesterday, also hoping to get my new knuckles in before I go down.
Had to get a new Optima dry cell battery because the cage took the place of the battery. I'll get a few photos up over the weekend of the new interior setup. Got a drift day on this weekend, might get some more good tandems, can't wait |

So wet pan skids last weekend was epic, made another video, check it out here -
Also the cage went sweet! Looks better, feels better and hopefully will make the car more rigid than before. And also bought another set of 33 GTR Wheels so I'm all set in the wheel category. Pic from wet pan last weekend - SUCH EPIC FUN |

Sorry haven't updated in a while, been busy as shit with work!
I've had some new bits for the car over the past few weeks.. New S15 LCA extended 25mm, Ikeya formula tie rods and some riverside (Kuroi) knuckles. Then went to Winton for the summer drift matsuri. Here's a few pics of everything. My new knuckle setup - Then it turned the car into this - (Super camber) Then I went to Winton again for matsuri, got some pretty awesome shots Also did a write up of my first day of matsuri, check it out here - Winton Summer Matsuri 2013 – Day 1 | Oliver's Import Heaven I should have a video done soon and part 2 done this week with some more epic shots! |

so haven't really done much to the car lately, after breaking the box at Winton I've been saving $$ and waiting for the new bits to arrive. I'm going with a Z32 box and using the mazworx adaptor plate. Hopefully this will last a bit better than stock CA boxes and also hope it's not a bitch to put it in the car.
Here's that video I made from winton - And the day 2 writeup - Winton Summer Matsuri 2013 – Day 2 | Oliver's Import Heaven and another awesome photo. |
